Scott Pressman
October 3rd, 1961 - April 26th, 2021
October 3rd, 1961 - April 26th, 2021
Scott Glen Pressman, age 59, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away on April 26, 2021 in Miami Beach, FL where he resided for the past 6 years. After a courageous and lengthy battle with kidney disease, and a multitude of medical issues, he went peacefully when his body could no longer tolerate dialysis. Even through all of his struggles, he remained positive and lived in the moment of gratitude. Born October 3, 1961 in Washington DC to Jane Bond and Gerald Pressman. He is survived by both parents, his Brother, Keith Pressman, Sister, Lyn Pressman Mueller and Brother-in-Law, Michael Mueller.
Scott loved sports and music. He was often our “shout out” for trivia answers on these topics. (We are making a playlist of Scott's favorite music on Spotify, we'll find a way to post a link below.) He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach and riding in convertible cars. He could never understand why someone would have the top up on a nice day. It drove him nuts. Can’t leave out that he also loved conversation.
Scott’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped him during his medical hardships, as well as his wonderful friends who continued to reach out to him along the way.
If you would like to donate in Scott’s memory, he was passionate about hunger in the U.S. and he was the cat whisperer.

Thinking about Scott because the NFL season just started. So many memories of talking about professional football with Scott. Our shared youth coincided with the glory years for DC's team. We got together to watch the away games and we went to many home games together at RFK. Scott and Jane organized a limo for the final game at RFK. It was a great day. The DC team beat the rival Cowboys 37 to 10 on December 22, 1996. We each came home with a small section of turf from the field. I kept mine alive for several years. Miss you Scott.

Hard to believe it is one year today. Still so raw. I think about Scott every day. I'm in South Beach and having fond memories. This photo is New Years Day 2020. Last time I was able to see Scott in person. Fuck Covid.

Had a good memory of Scott yesterday because it was the 40th anniversary of the day he, Pete C., and I spent walking around San Francisco. Scott and Pete were in the midst of an epic cross-country tour in Pete's Ford Fiesta (the World Car) and they stopped by to visit me while I was at Stanford. The day we spent in San Francisco together was the day of the annual Stanford - Cal Berkeley football game (aka Big Game). That game ended with Cal winning on The Play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG_afqO0fC4&t=43s

Scott, Jane, Lyn, and Keith hosted some big time summer solstice parties back in the day. Photo here is from a small time winter solstice party a few days ago (December of 2021). I talked about Scott and the summer solstice parties, so here is the winter solstice group raising a toast to Scott!
