A life that touches others lives on forever
On April 8, 2020, Randy D. Williams of Salem, Oregon passed away at his home with his wife Amber by his side, from complications from an unforseen battle with cancer. He was 52 years old.
Randy was a lifelong resident of Salem Oregon and worked as a carpet and flooring contractor for most of his career. Since 2014, Randy hired on at Willamette University and held the position of a Maintenance II worker. He was extremely proud to be a BearCat and enjoyed encouraging the students and helping the campus run smoothly.
Randy was well known for his strong work ethics, his willingness to help others and he had a profound positive presence in the community.
He had a generous heart and kind soul. Randy was the first one you call when you needed help and he would cheerfully lend a helping hand. He was loved by everyone who crossed his path.
Randy is survived by his wife Amber Williams, his kids; daughter Taylor Williams and son Dru Williams and three stepkids Kara Stutheit, Ryan Heagerty and Logan Heagerty,
He is also survived by his mother Janice Williams of Prineville, brother Dowdy Williams and sister Lisa Williams both of Salem.
Preceding him in death was his father William DS Williams, sister Lawna Cervantes and daughter Kassii Williams.
Randy will live on in the inspiration he left with us and the kindness he shared. May Randy's memory be a blessing by all who knew and loved him.

I’m one of the lucky people here, I had the pleasure of sharing the same shop and getting to know Randy the last couple years he was with us. He really was such a good person to know. If you had Randy as a friend, then your one of the lucky people too! He would do anything for you. He always went the extra mile for you. When I first met him he was going through some ruff times, but when he started dating Amber he became so happy. He sure deserved that. I remember him telling me “I can’t believe she’s so nice! And she actually likes me!” With all his little experiments with magnets and his big ideas for inventions, his upbeat attitude. I sure miss him. RIP my friend!

Uncle Randy always had a way of making everything we did more fun. I loved hearing about his latest idea for inventions as a kid. I remember begging my mom to let me ride with him when we would go from campground to campground during our summer trips to Oregon because he always had the coolest music. I miss him and the way he looked at the world. I know he lives on now in all our memories and I will hold those close. Sending love to all those that Randy lives on in today.

Though I may not have known Randy as long as some of the people reading this, I do know that he was truly one of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever met. He had an unmistakable passion for life; one that can be easily seen by looking at his wake of creativity, brilliance, and love, that followed him through his journeys. I couldn’t be more honored that I was one of the lives he touched while I had the chance to know him.

I genuinely wish that I had more time to get to know Randy. He was the kind of person whose unguarded radiant presence made you feel like you knew him the moment you walked in the room, and yet hours of conversation would probably only have scratched the surface of his brilliant mind. I am grateful to have met him and am truly looking forward to seeing him again someday.
