Lucille's Grandchild
Lucille "Lucy" Mavourneen Donohue
April 20th, 1942 - October 4th, 2026
April 20th, 1942 - October 4th, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lucille “Lucy” Mavourneen Donohue on October 4, 2026 at the age of 84. Lucy lived a life marked by laughter, love, family devotion, and a little bit of nicotine.
Born to Margaret and James Mahon on April 20, 1942, Lucy began her life with 12 beloved brothers and sisters. Memories of Lucy’s childhood will live on in countless stories of the blissful chaos that coincides with being one of thirteen children. Her love of her family remained the foundation of her life as she raised her four cherished children.
She was a one of a kind Mommom who would be the first to jump in a creek to catch crayfish, walk you to the triangle for candy, or have a flour fight while baking a fresh batch of cookies. Her home and dinner table were endlessly expandable for friends, neighbors and family who often made their way to her house for crab feasts, holidays, a quick laugh, or a card game and a glass of sweet tea. Lucy loved chocolate, gardening, the beach, bowling, dancing, westerns, James Arness, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles (with a strong affinity for Boog Powell).
She was predeceased in death by her husband Leo Donohue. Lucy’s legacy of humor and perseverance will live on through her children Teresa M. Lohr and her husband Bruce, John M. Donohue and his partner Melissa Bentz, Patrick L. Donohue and his partner Tina Jump Haddaway, and Michael S. Donohue and his partner Michele Elliott; grandchildren Anthony Lohr, Erica Lohr-Totis and her husband Chris, Ashley Lohr and her husband Carlos, Shannon Donohue, Patrick Donohue and his wife Jess, and Ciara Donohue. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will remain a privilege to remember.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Lucy's memory. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Lucy is fondly remembered by me as my sweet next door neighbors' (Bruce and Terri's) fun mom! The best fun was at our clubhouse Christmas dance party! Its hard watching people you love age...and Lucy was out there having such smiles with her daughter. God bless your family in this hard time of loss. May good memories comfort you. I pray for eternal peace and hapiness with Jesus for Lucy. Love, Diane Barbret and Craig

Mommom will truly be missed - holidays in Overlea were always filled with family and friends with Mommom seemingly only taking breaks to have a quick smoke on the deck or make sure everyone has a full plate in their hand! It was always one of Ashley and my favorite things to do to take her to an Orioles game - she surely loved them O's and just being at the yard. Love & miss you, Mommom!
