I really can not believe this sad news , Leah was the best human kind I ever met , she was my direct supervisor ,we worked together in two ministries in Kabul Afghanistan , she was supportive , kind and always tried to build the capacity of the all her subordinates , May God Bless Her .Rest in Peach Leah , you were an amazing human kind and I am sure there is a great place for you in Paradise .

Oh. I’m so sad. I just learned about Leah’s death when I read a comment from her on my FacebookMemories from 2010 that popped up today. Our work overlapped when we were in Kabul. I’ll keep her closer in my memory and heart.

Leah, you will be forever missed! I will think of you every time I need advice on where to eat in Venice, or which leather market to go to and buy a cool purse in Florence, which exhibit is worth seeing in NY, or who can peer review our PFM project or give us a helping hand with a new CC blog... “La memoria guardará lo que valga la pena. La memoria sabe de mi más que yo; y ella no pierde lo que merece ser salvado.” Eduardo Galeano

We worked in the same project in Kabul, and it is really a sad news to hear about passing. May her soul rest in peace.

I have known Leah since 2004 when we first met in Kabul. She was always so kind and sincere. And had a great sense of humor. She was the kind of colleague you never hesitate to reach out to. We lost touch after Afghanistan but I was really happy to be reconnected 10 years later in East Asia when Leah moved to Cambodia. We worked a lot together - she was always enthusiastic, fun, and of course a top professional. Her passing is devastating news. She was a really great soul and will be dearly missed. May Leah Rest in Peace.

It is still with great shock that I am even writing this here...I cannot process that Leah has departed this earth, in my heart and mind she is still alive and well, enjoying her many adventures. My work station was right outside of Leah's office for many years, I was also a neighbor of hers in DC. I admired her style and grace and loved hearing about each of her trips and all the fun she had on them. We would talk about chocolates from Grenada, to art museums in NYC to her trips to Paris and Vermont. Leah was truly a gem of a person and an admirable colleague. So sad that you are gone my friend!
