Jessica Diane Thompson
August 20th, 1980 - May 24th, 2021
August 20th, 1980 - May 24th, 2021
On Monday, May 24, 2021, Jessica Diane Thompson (Jess T), of Vienna won her long battle with cancer surrounded by her loved ones. She was reunited with her precious mother Pam, her brother Daniel, and her dear friend Cindy Ball. Jessica was born on August 20, 1980 in Parkersburg, WV. She lived many places from California and Ohio, to West Virginia, though Maine held a special place in her heart. She loved The New England Patriots, sunflowers, turtles, cats, photography, music, disc golf, the color pink, the ocean, Pine Point Beach, her friends and family, and more than anything her son Triston. She graduated from Scarborough High School in Scarborough, Maine in 1998, where she was a member of many clubs, and was a cheerleader. Jess was always a hard worker, a dreamer, driven, independent, tough, quick witted, and most importantly very kind. She loved to help anyone in need. As an adult she put herself through college by working at Logan’s Roadhouse, where she was a loved and valued team member. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science Business Administration for Public Relations from West Virginia University of Parkersburg. Jessica would tell you though, that her greatest accomplishment is her son Triston. She was also well known for those beautiful blue eyes of hers and that infectious smile that lit up a room. Jessica had a Warrior Spirit, and fought hard until she couldn’t anymore. She helped and touched so many people in her 40 years on earth through her helping, giving work with suicide prevention, and as an advocate for education on Clostridium difficile colitis (C-Diff). She is survived by her son, Triston and long time boyfriend, Julian Powell, her Aunt Debbie Turner, Aunt Beth, Aunt Denise Thompson, and Grandmother Ruth Thompson. She is preceeded in death by her mother, Pamela Kim Farnsworth Lent Thompson and her brother Daniel Thompson. During her battle Jessica was a private person that did not like to have a fuss made over her so she requested not to have a visitation or funeral. Jessica did want us to have a celebration of her life, we are still planning this event and will let everyone know of as soon as all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted when and where it will take place. Jessica had the kindest heart and has asked to be remembered lovingly by spreading kindness in her honor. I'm sure she would tell you that in doing so, you totally rock.
