Dear Pam, Kerry, Doug and Claire, and the whole family, and my best mate Cuan and godson Jordan: my heart goes out to you all at Colins passing away. He was one of the most loving, fun, caring, family, sensitive men I have ever met and and extra special as a husband, father and grandad. He will live forever in your hearts. My deepest condolences and I raised a glass to him, and send you all hugs and love. Ricky

Dear Robbie and family I'm so sorry to hear your uncle has passed away. I saw Jordan's post which came up on FB because Cuan was tagged. I just wanted to pass on my sympathies to you and the whole family, especially your Dad. Lots of love from Franki xxx

Colin and Jock, as always chuckling in secret code.

I remember being a young boy when I started to understand that Colin was so very close to my Dad in looks and sound and mannerism. From that point, as I grew to know him, he was always a very special Uncle. Seeing him was always a huge treat, because I knew I would get a dose of that unique Boake thing. The legs standing in a particular way at a braai, the gripping of a beer and most importantly, always, that double-trouble, infectious, chortling laugh. If Jock answered the phone at home and started speaking, you always knew if it was Colin because the tone of the call was so totally unique. Sometimes initiated by a few zulu words here and there and seemingly, at times, requiring hardly any words at all. Always an intimate transmission of code, interspersed with guffawing. I remember seeing Colin dancing late night at weddings, doing the gumboot jive with my Dad, such amazing memories. He will be so very missed. All our love to his family, nuclear and much extended, at this time. Love from Robbie, Ciara, Adabelle, Fiadh Rós, Birdie Blue. XxxxX

Dear Pamela, It was lovely meeting up with Colin in Ireland and hearing about your work with the children. We have thought often and will continue to pray for you. Lots of love Alistair and Elizabeth Hutcheson from Scotland.
