Please join us for a virtual celebration of Terry Baeth's life. As we all know, Terry had the gift of gab; No one could chat your ear off or share stories better. In his honor, we want to celebrate his legacy with some stories about Terry! We hope you will make yourself a drink that you enjoyed with him - a glass of soda from the days after a baseball game, a Rainier beer you used to enjoy at University of Montana, a whiskey after a long day at the office, or a homemade root beer float. Whatever it is, we will be doing a toast in his honor. Feel free to come dressed in whatever outfit reminds you of Terry - whether it be a lime polo, some O's or Raven's gear, or a pair of new - or rather old - flip flops. Terry was one of my favorite Ice Cream Plant Controllers when we worked together at Good Humor Breyers. I started in 2004 in Framingham, MA, and was one of the newest Controllers, and Terry was always so kind and helpful when I reached out with questions. We both typically drove to the annual Finance meetings in north Jersey and would often meet for a meal before the rest of the people arrived from airports. He used to get annoyed with me because of the New England Patriots' frequent victories. Hoping to redeem himself, he made a bet with me during 2006 March Madness - Montana (his alma mater) vs. Boston College (mine). The prize would be a case of ice cream from our respective plant. I was so thrilled when he had to send me a case of Klondike bars and my favorite Good Humor and Popsicle bars on dry ice. Given I am not a huge sports fan, I felt a little badly. My plant was the first to close 2011, and I kept Terry apprised of what to expect since Hagerstown was going to be the next plant to close. I think he appreciated having someone to commiserate with. He was a wonderful guy, and my heart goes out to his family.
