Srinivasan Subrahmanyam

18 octobre 1959 - 23 février 2020

18 octobre 1959 - 23 février 2020

On Sunday February 23, 2020, Srinivasan Subrahmanyam of Los Angeles, CA, loving son, husband, brother, uncle and friend left for heavenly abode at the age of 60 after bravely battling illness. He is survived by his loving wife Vanitha Hari, his mother Maduram, his siblings Visalakshi, Sriram, Kumar and Lakshmi and her husband Ramesh, niece Mita and nephew Ajeeth, sister-in-law Jaya, brother-in-law Srikanth. He was devoted to his mother. He would call her everyday to check on her to hear how her day went. His mischievous and humorous conversations with her never failed to bring a smile to her face. He was a devoted brother, always caring and supportive of his siblings in every way. Srini, known as Sridhar to his family and friends, was selfless and compassionate to a fault. His sense of humor and outgoing personality shone brightly wherever he went. Srini always generously gave of himself, his time, and his resources to everyone who came into his life. Srini always liked family gatherings where he enjoyed eating together and cracking jokes the most. Srini was born in Madras, India at the Triplicane Hospital in Oct 1959. He was raised with his siblings in a fun loving family by his parents Shri Subrahmanyam and Shrimati Maduram in Bhilai, Madhya Pradesh. After his high school in Bhilai, Srini went on to get his B.Com degree from Andhra University, Vizag. Srini started his career in accounting in Madras with an industrial equipment distributor. He was a gregarious people-loving person. His outgoing and extroverted personality helped him find success in a sales career with Modi Xerox and Claridges Hotel in New Delhi. Srini migrated to the US in 1997 and initially worked in Atlanta in IT recruiting and human resource management. He subsequently moved to Los Angeles for a long career as an Operations Manager with an air freight company in El Segundo, CA. He was loved everywhere he worked for his cheerful personality. Srini was an avid reader. He loved to travel. He had passion for car shows and driving cars. He found happiness in little things in life - family get-togethers, cooking for his family and friends his favorite snacks that reminded of his childhood years in Bhilai and Madras, like making bajjis and pakoras for them. His actively participated at the temple and various charities with his unfailing devotion. We are forever grateful to him for having been in our lives. We will miss his kind words, forgiving nature, intelligence, generosity of spirit and big hugs. We aspire to be more like you Srini and be a beacon of service and kindness to others. Om Sriram.

Of all my cousins on my father's side, i got to know Sridhar Anna the most since he lived in Delhi for some years and would visit us very often. We lived in Mayur Vihar and he would drop in on weekends. He was very lively and amusing person and we miss his humour

My dear brother It's a grief for a life time to lose a cousin like you. You have left behind so many memories for us to think of you. Your spirit filled eyes & a cheerful smile with a twinkle of tease is such a signature of Sridhar we all know How vividly I remember your upanayanam of course with Sriram in the foothills of Swamimalai & the fun we had in the Chathram we had halted for the function. Remember how responsible you were during Chinna's wedding. I cannot forget the way you would address Inky as kutti & the love for her as your little sister I still remember your wedding with Vanitha&?was so happy about your sashtiabdhapoorthy. I wish you & Vanitha had lived a couple of decades more. You will always be remembered dear brother & I wish & pray to Shirdi baba to give strength & support for Vanitha Periamma & all your siblings in the moment of your loss Your memories will forever linger in our minds.

Dear Sridhar As sadness engulfs me writing this note, I go back on memory lane reminiscing wonderful times back in Chennai, as young cousins, and it puts a smile on my face right away. Such was your personality. We cracked up on all the craziest jokes we pulled off on the 3 sisters, patti/thatha and the many others and I hear you get all warmed up with your ‘Yennnaaadi....' conversation starter. I know you are smiling with mischief written all over you, just now as I write. I am so sorry I didn't make it to your sashtiabdapoorthi. You called me several times, as it was your warm hospitable nature. You will be missed dear Cousin and watch over us BIG BROTHER🙏🏽

Dearest Sridhar..I had the blessing to know you and be loved as another sister; you saw no difference between your sisters or me..you are one of the kindest person I have ever met and so easy to talk to, who was never judgemental about anyone in 20 yrs i had known you. Iam extremely grateful for everything I learned from you in this lifetime and will miss you so much. I have learned to be strong like you in lot of situations, but this is really really hard with so much grief..
