Although I only had the privilege of caring for him for about six months, it didn’t take long for him to become so much more than just a patient to me. He became a friend, and one I will never forget. He had quite the sense of humor and could definitely be cranky, but I think that’s part of why we got along so well. I could handle his orneriness and wasn’t afraid to give it right back to him! Two memories will always hold a special place in my heart. The first is watching him dance with my daughter. She got such a kick out of him, and it still makes me smile thinking about it. The second was the day he returned after reconnecting with his brother. He was so incredibly happy that he actually got up out of his wheelchair and danced with me! That moment is something I will cherish forever. I’m so grateful our paths crossed, even if it was only for a short time. I’m also thankful I had the opportunity to meet his daughters and see just how loved he was. He definitely left his mark on my heart, and I will always remember the laughs, the cranky moments, and most of all, the dances. Rest easy, my friend! You will never be forgotten. ❤️

What is your favorite memory shared with Henry?
We went to pick him up for church and he was all decked out in his leather vest and cowboy hat and cowboy boots ready for a rodeo but we were headed to church. He always was well dressed.

Through the years I had always wanted to know you. It wasn’t until later in life I had the opportunity to go through the good the bad after your health was failing. We had good days and bad but through it all I learned more and more about you. I now feel complete that I had this gift of knowing you and being able to share my life, love, and support for you. Many blessings dad you will be forever remembered and forever missed. I’m going to remember your smile our last big hug and you riding off into the sunset on your favorite horse. Love you Mendy Harrison

In Loving Memory of My Grandpa ❤️🕊️ Sometimes, losing someone brings a different kind of sadness not just for the person who has passed, but for the memories you never got to make and the relationship you never had the chance to build. Although I didn’t get the opportunity to know my grandpa as well as I would have liked, he will always be a part of my story. He is a part of my family, my roots, and the generations that came before me. I may not have a lifetime of memories to share, but I can still honor his life and the legacy he leaves behind. His passing reminds me that time is precious, family is important, and sometimes we don’t get all the moments we wish we had. Rest peacefully, Grandpa Henry. ❤️ May you find eternal peace, and may those who knew and loved you find comfort in the memories they hold close. Until we meet again. 🕊️
