Passed away suddenly at home in East Linton, Ontario on Friday, October 16, 2026. Born in Lindsay on October 27, 1954, and raised in Sunderland, Ontario, Glenn “Gus” Ross Miller was 71 years old (and just shy of his 72nd birthday).

Beloved husband of Maxine “Max” Miller (nee Hibbert). Loving father of Scott Ross Miller and father-in-law of Katrina of Brooklyn, New York, and cherished Papa of Landon Ross. Treasured brother of Susan Miller (Randy Knight) of Bobcaygeon. Dear brother-in-law of Lynda Garniss (Martin) of Walkerton, and Linda Hibbert (Laurie) of Fenelon Falls. Gus will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by his loving parents Ross and Marion Miller.

Gus passed away leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and joy. A fun-loving and gentle soul, Gus was a man who truly knew how to be present in the moment, bringing comfort and light to everyone around him. A remarkably talented yet deeply humble baker and cook, Gus found great joy in the kitchen. His homemade pizzas were nothing short of phenomenal, though he would never be the one to boast about them. Gus was also an avid reader and possessed a beautiful way with words. Over the years, his close friends were the fortunate recipients of his hilarious texts and thoughtful musings.

Following his retirement three years ago, Gus embraced a slower pace of life with enthusiasm. He discovered new passions in pickleball, bird watching, and gardening. He loved the outdoors, treasuring his walks with Maxine and early morning hikes with his loyal dog, Zoe. Gus lived a full and intentional life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will be forever cherished by the many friends and loved ones he leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held in Owen Sound in late-November (date and location to be shared soon). Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.

As expressions of sympathy to the family, and if desired, memorial donations to Make-A-Wish Canada would be appreciated at makeawish.ca. Online condolences can be sent to Gus’ family in the tributes section below or by visiting his memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
