We miss you Mom.

Fae was born in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Fae and her fraternal twin Rae were named after the actress in King Kong, Fay Wray. Fae met and married Woodward (Woody) Sanders at age 19 in 1952.  They had 5 children:  Rip Sanders (Sharlene), Gayna Dean (Harry), Rance Sanders (Stephanie), Dawn Sanders, and Fawnda Hathaway (John). Fae worked with her husband to build their construction company, Utah Sanders & Co.

Fae went on to marry Joe Rosen in August 1986.  They were married for 35 years (he passed away in August 2021).  She got her contractor's license and built an apartment complex along with spec homes in the L.A. area. Fae and Joe initially lived in the San Fernando Valley. They went on to enjoy living in the beach communities of Seal Beach and Huntington Beach. They also lived in Sun Lakes, Arizona for many years.

Fae’s last years were spent in Berkeley, California, near her oldest daughter Gayna.

She is survived by her twin, Rae Clinesmith, brothers Jim Stone and Richard Stone, and four children (sadly, her oldest son, Rip passed away in 2021).  She was also fortunate to have 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Fae maintained her kindness and positive outlook to her dying day.  She will be missed for her love of family and her playful sense of humor.

On behalf of myself and my wife Edith we want to tell family that we thought a lot of Fae and Rae. As for my self, I have a special appreciation for her for stepping up and giving me a place to stay while I was pursuing my carrier. Not too long after I got out of the army they, meaning the hole clan, put up with me at the house in the Valley. Being there for a few month I got quite close to them and think fondly of the bunch. I always had a term for the ladies, "The Giggle Twins". Any body that was around when they were together knows what I mean. God bless Fae and rest in Peace.

So sorry for this enormous loss. I have happy memories of hanging out with Dawn at the Sanders' house (thanks to the gate in the Robertson's yard!), and I can see and hear Fae's smiles and big laughs like it was yesterday, and not 55 years ago! She not only loved her family, she generously welcomed us outsiders. Her kindness left an impression on me. May Fae's memory be a source of joy for her loved ones.
