I spent a lot of time in the home of Johnny and Gail Seay growing up because Suzanne was one of my best and dearest friends starting in Kindergarten and continuing through our lifetimes. Their place was a very "cool" hangout because they were so young at heart and joyful. It was like they secretly hosted a youth ministry without any of us knowing that's really what was going on. Looking back, I see how during our high school years when many kids were getting into trouble, their home provided a safe haven where unconditional love and laughter abounded. A place for us to be silly playing Family Feud and laughing until we literally cried, while at the same time being influenced by two Christ-loving individuals who were making a lasting impact on each of us without us really realizing. I even met my future husband at a gathering in their home! Their love of playing games, talking, and really "being together" provided a place where Jon and I would begin to develop an interest in one another that was deep and about who we were on the inside, not just the outside. It has lasted, because we just celebrated 29 years of marriage about a week before Johnny passed away. So, thank you Mr. Johnny! Your home, your smile, your laugh, and your caring ways impacted future generations more than you knew. Now that you are with Jesus, I'll bet He is letting you see some of that. And, I'll bet you are smiling really big😇

I knew I Johnny through his granddaughter, Samantha. After countless visits, events, and holidays spent with their family, Johnny was someone I always looked forward to seeing. He welcomed everyone he met with open arms and brought so much joy to whatever room he walked in. Johnny showed me that age shouldn't stop you from going out and enjoying the world. We had an unforgettable time celebrating Samantha's birthday at the casino, and so many other times scratching lottery tickets at family game nights. We will miss you, Johnny!

I only met John John a few times over the years. See i only knew him as John John because that's what Steph would call him. I've worked with Steph for over 20 years. Her family is her everything and John John was her rock. I always enjoyed hearing about the crazy weekends with the chickens or family games they played. My heart breaks for my friend and the family. Please know he will be missed.

We knew him through Seth and Suzanne. He was always at every birthday party, events, and many practices for Seth over the years. He was one of the kindest people I have met, and had a warmth that made anyone feel welcome and comfortable around him. My daughter,

I had the honor of meeting John John a few times over the past years. He welcomed me into his home and into his family with no hesitation. To have my own family more than 400 miles away, holidays can be very hard. I can remember Steph telling me, you dont have to bring anything but if you insist, bring lottery tickets. I can truly say that I am forever grateful to have John John create and raise such a beautiful family. From the chickens and raccoons to the Easter egg hunts, he was always right there smiling. With a family as close as this, I pray that you all find some comfort in the good memories. He will truly be missed.

You always made me feel loved. You always made me feel safe. You would do anything for anybody no matter the time of day. You helped me so many times with my car, our yard, and even taking me to doctor appointments. You were teaching Tyson to drive, the bravest job of all. We will take great care of Mom. I'm going to miss you more than I could ever put into words. I love you Dad!!
