Loved Ones

Maribel Quintana, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away tragically on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the age of 59. She was born on October 13, 1963, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and was the beloved daughter of the late Ramon Quintana and Irma Ramirez.

Maribel will be remembered for her selflessness and unwavering compassion. Her family sought solace in her during times of hardship because she not only listened to their troubles but responded with love and understanding, mending relationships and fostering unity. She carried herself with a heart free of judgment or bitterness, and her presence was a beacon of comfort for those around her. Above all else, Maribel's faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She devoted herself to following Him and lived by His example. Every morning, she would read her Bible, play and sing praise and worship music, and tune in to the "Fresh Oil" daily livestream with Pastor Chris Garcia. In times of struggle, she placed her trust in God, believing that all things would work for His good. Her devotion and love for the Lord were evident in all aspects of her life.

Maribel's affection for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished the moments spent with her beloved brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a woman of great kindness, strength, understanding, humor, and love, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her spirit will live on through her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts as they face life's challenges.

Maribel is survived by her husband, Luis Gonzalez, and her two children, Isaac and Leila. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, along with numerous other family members who adored her.

To her children, Isaac and Leila, Maribel was not just a mother but a guiding light who taught them the true essence of family. They consider themselves incredibly fortunate to have had her as their mother, and they vow to honor her memory by embodying the love and compassion she imparted to them. They will hold her in their hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend the calling hours on Friday, July 28th, from 9 to 11 am at the Victory Church, 191 Meriden Rd., Middlefield, CT. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11 am in the church, with burial taking place at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The arrangements are entrusted to the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. For those who wish to express their condolences, please visit jferryfh.com.

Maribel Quintana's departure has left a void in the lives of those who loved her, but they find comfort in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her parents in God's eternal kingdom, basking in the endless warmth and joy that she so rightfully earned. Her memory will forever live on, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
