And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1Peter5:10-11
OBITUARY
Barbara grew up in New Jersey attending Saint Ann’s Elementary and Saddle Brook High schools. After completing college business training, she took a position at Air France in New York City. Her career eventually led her to California where she lived most of her life.
Barbara was a fun, compassionate, empathetic, and immensely generous person. Her innate curiosity and incisive mind fueled her lifelong passion for learning. She organized many memorable travel itineraries with her family and friends and collected Christmas ornaments to remember the places she visited. Barbara started a book club over 20 years ago that is still thriving. Her friends were grateful that Barbara kept them routinely informed of the latest concerts, lectures, movies and cultural events to attend. She enjoyed fine wine, cheese, coffee, dark chocolates, a good book, nice fashions and a friendly game of scrabble (especially the French version).
Barbara courageously faced her final trial involving ALS with both humility and grace. She was a blessing to those she knew and loved her family and friends exceptionally well.
Barbara will be dearly missed.

Barbara was without a doubt the fairest person I've ever known. No matter how unpleasant a person was to her, if that person was accused wrongly, she would defend them. Barbara was A remarkable woman whose intelligence, common sense, sense of fair play and warmth are seldom found. Last but certainly not least, she was a joy to be around!!!!

Dear Barbara, You lit up our lives! And your delightful laughter was contagious. You graced us with your wonderful, unending curiosity for books, films, politics and cultural outings. The first time we met, I did a presentation on Concorde Hotels to you and your team at Jet Vacations. I was very pregnant at the time with Alex. That was 33 years ago! Thank you for inviting me to join the Westside Bookies Book Club. It has been a source of good friendships and many interesting discussions. We shared a love of Paris, France and French-which you spoke so well. As Librans, we shared October birthdays and each year we would go out to a really fancy restaurant to celebrate. You made fast friends with my Mother, Dorothy, once I brought her from Massachusetts to live in Manhattan Beach. She adored you and considered you her "second" daughter. Barbara, you were such a loyal and supportive friend! I miss you so much! Diane

I miss you my dear friend! There is such a void in my life without you. I have known you for more than 35 years. We shared so many wonderful memories and experiences, traveling together to France, visiting my family in Croatia, and had a fabulous time sampling delicious food, going to museums, swimming in the Adriatic Sea, and just having a blast. Rest in peace my wonderful friend,
