Gary Howe

Susie Ancell

Gary was much loved. He lived a full life with many different adventures that lead him to meet so many different people. He was a soldier, leader, friend, father, husband, son and brother. Gary enlisted into the Coldstream Guards on 10th January 1989, (just 17 years of age) as a junior soldier. He served in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan and the first Gulf War.  He also served in Germany and UK mainland, finally retiring as a Warrant Officer class II holding the post of Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant at the Regimental Headquarters of the Coldstream Guards (Wellington Barracks) after an exemplary 24 year career. He was appointed to the Body Guard in 2017 and was on duty for both Queen Elizabeth II funeral and the Coronation of King Charles III This page is not only for Gary but for his children, Henry and Izzy who were his life. Please leave photos and stories of how you knew Gary for them xxx
