Ethen Dakota Troutman, 20, of Marion passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. Ethen was born in Concord, North Carolina on March 13, 2001 to Jonathan Watson (Melissa) and Jennifer Lea Troutman. Ethen was known as a lovable young man. He was always cutting up to make others laugh. Ethen was a kind soul who loved kids. He was smart, enjoyed car audios and tinkering with anything mechanical. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Darlis “Mama Dot” Watson; maternal great grandmothers Rebecca Byrd and Clara Belle Troutman; cousin Billy Wright. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, Delmar J. Watson (Betty), maternal grandfather, Terry Troutman, and maternal grandmother, Jean Troutman; Emily Driggers his fiancé; three sisters, Jessica Romero (Rick), BreyAnna Smith and Alexis Smith; his uncles; Jonathan Sowers (Crissy) of the home, Rylee Troutman, Alex Stallings, William, Burdette, Robert and Carson Willis; his aunts, Jody Stirwalt, Kathy and Kathelyn Barbee, and Crystal Sosa; cousins, David, Nick and Justin Ewing, Hayden Troutman, Kaci Fikes, Darren Shockley, Nateara Bradley (Spencer), Christina Tipton (William), Whitney Sowers, Kaitlyn Grant (Tristen) and Destiny Wright (Ken) and Justin Ray Hollifield. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Rev. Jeff Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Lackey Town Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Old Fort. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
