On 19 May 2022, surrounded by family, Chris "Kip" Shaw, passed away peacefully.
Dad was our family's rock and the cornerstone to so many wonderful and fulfilling relationships. We are in awe of the life that Dad lived throughout his 70 years. From cycling and sailing, to adventures overseas with mum, throwing himself into board roles at Bendigo Bank and Griefline and teaching us the importance of good, healthy food.
He loved his family, the Beaumaris concourse, his bike, chats and chai with friends, gardening and reading. A man with many hobbies and lots of great stories.
We want to hear your stories and meet all the wonderful people who had an impact on Dad's life. Please feel free to share your messages, memories and photos below and join us to celebrate our wonderful Dad.

Chris was a warm kind and generous friend. Great Dad and fabulous partner to Louise. Lots of memories of fun gatherings with family and friends. Chris made everyone feel welcome. A very special person. A very special friend. The best way we can honour his memory is to keep the party going. And Chris would be so delighted about that! So let’s keep on celebrating Chris S life and continue Chris and Louise S traditions which always focused on gatherings and food and lots of fun!

Chris and Louise arriving at my 40th, like Chris I am a colourful soul that had a rubic cube party where guests arrived and tried to make their accessories one colour. Chris would always comment how I was not 'your typical accountant'. I had the pleasure of knowing Chris as a business man, Chairperson and a friend and he excelled at all 3. Like many that have posted here, Chris was a generous, happy, smart driven man. I like many will miss him a lot. The world is a less richer without Chris in it. Vale Chris x

I was deeply saddened to hear of Chris’ recent passing. It was such a privilege to know Chris. He was a true gentleman and was highly respected by the Bank staff who worked with him during his time on the Beaumaris Community Bank Board. His tireless efforts to strengthen his local community made an important impact and I know his legacy will be felt for decades to come. My deepest condolences to Louise, Kat, Elizabeth and extended family.

We met Louise and Chris through our daughters school when we moved to Melb from Sydney which blossomed to a wonderful friendship. The warmth and laughter brought to our lives will be forever remembered. Chris, no words are enough to express how we feel about you. Humble, kind, full of life laughter, colour, exuberance, warm, affectionate, endearing, successful in family and business and yet always a humble gentleman. Being in your presence always uplifted us as you had the knack to making everyone in your presence feel welcomed. We will miss you dearly and in all the amazing memories will remember you and celebrate your life. You are one of few special people that will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you but not forget you as we continue our journey with The Shaw family and yes will have a toast to you on every occasion. Lastly thank you to all family for allowing us to spend time with Chris during this past Easter so we could witness the Chris's inspirational gumption and smile.

No matter what I say it will be too little convey my deep appreciation of the time Chris spent cycling with our group, having coffee with us, and having coffee with me. He was always giving of himself, always fitting with the group, always gently smiling. In our personal relationship he was always accepting, supportive, and non-judgemental. I think I am not alone in thinking of Chris as a special friend. He made everyone feel that they were important to him. Vale, Chris. You are already deeply missed.
