Man, it has taken me a while to digest this...it still hurts to think about, but I only found my way back to this page because I still think of you, Ben. I was lucky enough to see much of you growing up, and maybe missed some of the more recent years, but definitely was proud of who you had become and loved to hear stories about you. Early on I knew you were a special person and would do big things and be a great leader. You were unapologetically you. From some of the comments from your classmates, it's obvious how many people you have touched and helped smile. Michelle, Jon, Matt - my deepest condolences go out to you. I know the amazing upbringing Ben had and the love that surrounded him. Love you guys. I'm so, so sorry.

Ben was a regular fixture in our home over the years. I would see his unmistakable form trundling through the woods or come downstairs to find him contemplating the contents of our fridge. Even now, I look around the house and see random things that Ben left behind: a skateboard, a jackknife, a metal bar that the boys once used to make a sled jump in the front yard. He and Cade were subjected to more than a few of my verbal tirades after doing many of the truly dumb things that teenage boys are apt to do. Even so, Ben raved about my cooking, and as he got older, we engaged in interesting discussions about politics, education policy, career paths. We didn't often agree, but I looked forward to hearing how his unique mind would approach those same issues after a few more years of life experience. Ben was irreverent, impulsive, curious, and funny. I loved him for these qualities - and sometimes, in spite of them. I will always remember him smiling.

I met Ben Fall of 2019. Ben saw me sitting alone at Prospect dining hall and came to talk to me. We exchanged numbers and continued talking. I can't recall how we started dating, but we spent day after day together for about a month straight. Ben was so kind and caring and whenever I needed support, he was there for me. When I was with Ben, it seemed like everybody knew him. Everyone was always saying hi to him. Then one day Ben got into a skateboarding accident and was on crutches and for the first time I felt like I was able to take care of him. I have so many stories of Ben and I play them in my head over and over. He was, and he is such an amazing, kind and funny person. I have never been one to believe in angels and spirits, but the night Ben passed away I felt like I had someone else looking out for me. He's not gone. He is still with everyone of us. I wish I could tell him how much I cared for him. Even tho we only talked a few times a month after we spilt apart, he still meant so much to me.

I had the pleasure of getting close to Ben at 4-H camp over the years. He was constantly keeping me on my toes and always making those around him laugh. He was a goofy, outgoing, and an amazing person all around. I'll never forget him at all the camp events, getting scolded for laughing during vespers and always saving him and Sebby a seat so I could eat snack/meals with them. I will truly miss him and all the fond memories I'm lucky enough to have of Ben. My love and prayers go out to the Sarkis family, close friends, and everyone grieving during this very difficult time.
