Ogiba, Regina V. - Of Kings Park, NY, formerly of Oceanside, on April 2, 2020, 95 years of age. Loving wife of the late Emil. Beloved mother of Jean (Robert) Zimmers, Edward Ogiba, Stephen (Mimi) Ogiba, Paul (Jennifer) Ogiba, and the late Christine Ogiba. Cherished grandmother of Jenine (Taiye Doughty) Zimmers, Monica (Timand Bates) Zimmers, Regina (Tyler) Gatteau, Tyler Ogiba, Nicholas Ogiba, Brett Ogiba, and Kristin Ogiba. Dear great grandmother of Alice & Hazel Bates, and Ryan, Aspen, & Kenna Gatteau. All current services will be private.

I miss Grandma already. She sent me a birthday card every year when I was a kid with a single dollar in it, and I felt like a rich lady. She took me to my first concert at age 10 (Debbie Gibson), one of the few days in my life I felt cool. We were both born in August, and joked about August babies needing to "stick together." She appreciated antiques in a way few do, took her Catholic traditions seriously, made an amazing Polish dinner every year on Christmas Eve, and called me a "good girl" even when I got to my 40s. She had a cute little laugh. She taught me a few Polish words, including how to say "I love you," which we said at the end of every call and visit. Ja cie kocham, Babci.
