Susan Bachrach

Susan Bachrach, 79, of Taos passed away peacefully in her home on October 21, 2013. She was born Mary Susan Clement to Adam and Elaine Clement. She is survived by her sister, Janie Dillon, sons, John Bachrach and his wife, Rae, Hunter and his wife, Charlotte. Susan earned her Registered Nurse degree from University of Virginia, where she met her husband of 57 years, Art Bachrach. She went on to earn her Nurse Practitioner degree and was the first Nurse Practitioner at National Institutes of Health. Susan and Art opened Moby Dickens Bookshop in Taos in 1984 and move to Taos permanently in 1987. Susan loved Taos, her bookshop, her friends, her dogs and her family. Her family and the community of Taos will sorely miss her.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in her name be made at the Stray Heats Animal Shelter. A remembrance memorial will be held at a later date.
