Wayne was a kind and helpful man. I remember when many of the Ukulele group shared a table when waiting to give a small performance during the Hula Honey's performanance in King's Point a few years ago. I had the pleasure of sitting next to him at the table. He was very pleasant, as he always was. I also enjoyed Wayne's instruction on the ukulele, and hearing his voice when we played. He will be missed.

This is very random, but I wanted to express my condolences. I am the pastor of Panorama Presbyterian Church in California and, recently happening upon the name Conklin in some of our old records I googled Wayne to see if he was related to a Conklin I know in NJ, only to find that he had very recently passed. It struck me, too, because my dad died the same day—May 25th of this year. Anyway—I obviously wasn’t here when you and Wayne were members (I’m a few weeks younger than Susan), but I wanted to extend a hello and some prayers for peace and comfort from your old church. In Christ, Darren

Linda, I'm so sorry for your loss of Wayne. You and Wayne have been such a big part of the SCC Ukulele Group. I learned a lot from Wayne's extra sessions for advanced techniques. He is one of the main reasons I continue to try to be a better Uke player.

Dear Linda & Family, we are so sorry for your loss. We very much enjoyed our season of Marriage Encounter with you both, and I crossed paths with Wayne at Dow before he retired and I left for the ministry. Wayne was such a kind and gentle soul, with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye.....I'm certain he heard, "Well done my good and faithful servant." Love , Dave & Jodi Vercellino P.S. The video was wonderful!

Dear Linda and family, My condolences for your loss. I have learned the sad news from our common friend, Lucero. Both you and Wayne will be remembered fondly by the many exchange students whose lives you touched... Kind regards, Lujza, Rotary Youth Exchange 2000-2001

Wayne and Linda attended my water fitness classes at the south club in Kings Point. We became close friends over the years. I have a few musically inclined students and some of my exercises have tempos that match tempos of a song. Sooo...We have acquired a repertoire of song that we sing as we exersize. Wayne's voice in the mix was icing on the cake for me to listen to. It was awesome! Getting to hang out with them at the Sun City events has always been a great fun. I LOVE Wayne and Linda. Wayne is a great personality I will sincerely miss, sharing humor with and his wonderful smile and laughter. My prayers are with your family and friends. He's Jammin with the BEST now.
