This morning as I put my playlist on shuffle, a song by Phoebe Bridgers that Taryn and I had listened to countless times in her car was the first to come on. Every time I hear that song it makes me think of her, more specifically the light she brings into this world. I lived at the Rewrite with Taryn and consider myself beyond lucky to have been able to have experienced her joy. We would spend most mornings together outside in the backyard due to our early schedules and I don’t think I’ve ever bonded with someone as quickly and as uniquely as I did with her. She had a way of making you feel distinctively comfortable around her and was one of the best listeners I’ve ever met. Every sunrise I witness reminds me of her. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop wishing I had more of those mornings with her or to be able to hear her laugh one more time but I’m so grateful to have those memories to provide a smile on a day like today.

Taryn and my daughter Lilee . So precious and lucky she babysat her for a moment in time . We miss her terribly.

Missing Taryn extra today. Would do anything to be able to hear her crack another joke - her sense of humor was perfect. I am currently writing a series Kathryn, another friend of Taryn’s, and we named one of the leads after her in her honor. I think of Taryn often. I wish I had a better photo of us to share, but I only have candid shots of us, mid sentence, from the projects we worked on together.

I visited Taryn today. I miss my friend deeply. She was such a force. She still is. I’m so grateful I got to cross paths with Taryn in this life.

Taryn was made me laugh more than anyone else I met in college. We were in an animal studies class together, and she made me look forward to that class more than anything else that whole semester. Getting to do improv with her was so exhilarating. Whether she was on stage performing, or off stage talking to me about some stressful family stuff, I could always feel how deeply she listened to me. Thank you for teaching me and giving me so much Taryn. Not a day goes by where I'm not grateful for you.
