It's been a lost year 2020, not to mention my mind. I think I have a note in here somewhere, but just ran across this photo of our old Band of Brothers. In this photo.. Bob followed 3 others. He is missed by all of us.

Hart Wesemann

My family worked for the Garffs. My mother worked for Ken Garff and later Robert and Kathi Garff. We have many fond memories about the Garff family. We send our thoughts and prayers to the Garff family at this time. Much love - Hart Wesemann and family.

We'd met a number of times throughout my life, I'm sure, but it was special to have some real QT with Bob and Kathi on the bike trip this last summer. They were my biggest fans! So loving and supportive, so sweet and so genuinely interested - in me, my life, what I wanted to do, ect. They provided conversation, opportunity, and love. This last fall, I had the chance to work in Salt Lake with many of the Garffs. My first few weeks at Ken Garff I was dealing with a lot of health challenges. Rick was so nice to provide the opportunity to work with his team and had so much faith in me. While he was in and out, busy with his own things, I would often get to see Bob wander through to check in on me. Seeing Bob would always make everyday worth it. It was like seeing family. It would MAKE my week. Every time. Without fail. He would check in, I'd get the hug I needed from a grandpa in the office and I lived for it. It made that emotional and physically draining time, beyond worth it. When I needed help, doctors, connections, Kathi and Bob were my people! They were wise in their giving, they were respected in the community of doctors, and I was so blessed because of their service and generosity. They knew what they were doing, and I was beyond lucky to be looked after by them. For General Conference in October, Kathi and Bob invited my husband and I to be with their family at the ranch. It was so nice of them! Probably so random to all the other family that didn't know us, but they welcomed us in. They told us about the ranch, they made us feel included. They illustrate such an amazing balance of love, gospel, family, and success in their everyday lives. I look up to them in SO many ways and will continue to strive and emulate the lives they've led. And back to the bike trip - we loved that we could end on such a high with Bob! Biking through the Netherlands, Germany, and France. This is where Sam first met the Garffs. The memory we always think back on was when we were invited for dinner in the Garff's little family zone on the ship. Everyone told their stories of how they met their spouse. The whole family was so sweet, inclusive, and cared to hear about us. I remember smiling across from Bob, wearing his all red attire, and me letting him know that when his birthday came around I was getting him some cougar blue! He laughed;) As well, Kathi has always been such a great example of being so generous and inclusive! I love her spry personality and liveliness. She shared her coveted Roger Federer hat and I knew that we were true friends She is amazing. She calls, she's on it, she cares. I love these two. What a dynamic pair, a true love story. We send our love and prayers to the Garffs and are happy to have them close in our lives. We can't wait to bike up in heaven with you Bob! Check in on us and we'll make you proud. Love always, Megan & Sam Smith (Megan Bertha for reference)

Robert Garff was always kind to me and my family. In the beginning of my career, he took time out his day to visit my 18 month old son who was deathly ill in the NICU at Primary Children's Hospital. He was genuinely concerned and allowed me the time I needed to be there for my family. From that moment on I knew I had chosen the right person/company to work for. He was a great leader who will be missed.

Bob Garff is a gentle, wise man with a testimony that has strengthened mine. Kathi taught a Relief Society class one Sunday (I always looked forward to her lessons!) and had Bob come in and express his testimony and love of the Book of Mormon. It touched me to the core and lit a fire in my heart to study with more intent and gratitude for the truths, comfort and love that is manifest from our Savior in that great book. I am so thankful for the testimony he shared. He truly is a man of God. I also loved hearing him talk about the temple. He had so many wonderful experiences to share and insights that again touched my heart and strengthened my desire to find myself in the temple more. His influence was broad and he made such an incredible impact on all those who knew him. I'm so grateful to know such a dear man and his beautiful family. We are praying for you and mourning your loss. We are still feeling keenly the loss of our Luke and know that in the months and years to come you will continue to grieve but the pain seems to turn into an overwhelming sense of gratitude, love and honor. We are here for you and hope we can help in anyway you need. We know that Bob is near and that angels are with you to bear you up at this time. We are praying for your continued peace. We love you with all our hearts!

norma Blundell

Martin Blundell: A few years ago, Bob was recovering from a difficult leg injury. Clark Robinson called me on the phone and suggested we take him out the next morning and play nine holes of golf. The summer morning was beautiful and the course in the middle of the week was not crowded, a perfect day for some casual golf. Bob greeted me in his warm and approachable manner, asking about Norma and my children as we walked to the first tee. Golf is a social game. It gave us time to catch up with one another on family, friends, and business. Golf is also conducive to good-natured banter, especially on the tee box. Bob had used his three wood to hit his drive on the first hole. However on the third hole, feeling warmed up and a bit more confident, he pulled a new, very long-shafted driver from his bag, and removed the head cover. When he addressed the ball it appeared to me to be the largest driver head I had ever seen! I commented, "Bob, the head on that driver looks like a Volkswagen on a long stick!" Bob was head down with a smile on his face considering his new driver, then suddenly looked up at Clark and me and started to laugh. He couldn't swing for a few moments while he ruminated over the thought. Bob finally said, "For a person in my position, a car guy, I've got to remember that!"
