Our Beloved Isabelle

Isabelle came into my life very suddenly.. the night we met was back in 2006 as I was unpacking newspaper wrapped dishes in my new place and setting them in the sink. There was a little window in the kitchen right above the sink and with a thud I was shocked to see a cat had jumped up onto the sill and started yowling, scared the hell out of me. In the weeks that followed I slowly built trust with her and she started coming up to the door and asking for food, even wandering in sometimes and making herself at home. Another night came where she had crawled into the house and started crying in pain under my roommate's bed. I discovered she had been attacked by another animal and rushed her to the emergency vet for care. After that, she was my girl.. Isabelle was my companion for 15 years.. she helped me to heal old wounds and open my heart to the world again.. she was my confidant when I needed to talk, my fuzzy caretaker when I was sick, and my family.. Every day when I wake up my heart reaches for her and every night when I lay down to sleep she will always be missing.. but I am so grateful for the time she gave me and the love that continues to grow in me because of her. I love you my precious girl.. Freya take care of her until the day our spirits find each other again.
