It is hard for me to find words. I am very happy to have been with you at the school house and definitely made it much better with the laughter and jokes. Take care. You were a brother to all of us, that is for sure.

I'm going to miss our brother and his German accent/ accents he would always do to make us laugh, till this day it's still hard to believe he's gone but he will never be forgotten.

I never got to officially meet Nathan in person. But when I went to my Quantico for MSG graduation, I will never forget the guy who kept face timing my son,(Luke Williams) to find out where we were and what we were going to do next!! That's when My son told me that Nathan "West" was like a brother to him!! I knew it was definitely true when Luke was worried the day before leaving for Africa, that he didn't have the right size luggage to travel with: and West called you all to come and bring Luke a HUGE piece of luggage to travel with!! I knew then that our families would forever have a bond. Every time I talked to Luke on the phone while in Africa, I would ask him about his friends that he was keeping in contact with; and Nathan's name always came up!! They had a great brotherly bond and I am forever grateful that they met and will meet up again someday!! Our prayers are with you All!

Nathan buddy, words can explain how bad we're all going to miss you. You always brought out the best in all of us, and definitely pulled me through some of the hardest times when none of us wanted to embrace the suck of the corps. There's so many memories to think of with you man. I was just getting ready to head back to Virginia to see you in a few weeks. Above all else you were such a loving and caring guy, I know you would have done anything for any of us if we ever needed anything at the drop of a hat. I promise you won't be forgotten brother, until Valhalla RIP.

I never got the honor of meeting Nathan in person, but I always felt like I knew him. Only because of how much Luke talked about him and how often I saw Snapchat videos of him lol. I am so happy that Luke and Nathan met and instantly became best friends. I know they both hated being stuck on that base, but they made the best of it. Every Snapchat and instagram video that Luke would send me of those two being absolutely stupid and reckless always made me hysterically laugh. Those two had an unbreakable bond from the very start. I don't think any part of this was a coincidence. I fully believe it was Gods plan. When Luke told us that they had been having spiritual talks and seeking Gods guidance, I felt so much joy. God knew that Luke needed Nathan and Nathan needed Luke. They helped each other grow. To know that Nathan had been in relation with God gives so much peace. Nathan's story is a story of triumph and victory. Praying for an abundant amount of peace to overwhelm your minds and hearts in this time of mourning.

Missy, Derek and Bri, There are no words at a time like this, and none of it makes sense. But what I know from knowing your family is that there was so much love. Nathan loved you all, and I know how much you loved him. I'm praying for you during this time and lifting you in so much love that I can give you virtually. He will always be in your heart, which means he will never be far away. I love y'all, Kim Jones
