We congregate here to celebrate the life of Mr. James Kariuki Gacanja (former asst. director Special Branch). He rested on 25th May 2020. Cherished husband of the late Mary Kariuki and beloved father of Pastor Emmanuel & Caroline Kariuki, Mr. Raphael & Hezeliya Kaudo, and Caroline Manka Kariuki. Adored grandfather of Joshua Kariuki, Jonathan Kariuki, Jason Kariuki, Hannah Kaudo and Gabriela Kaudo. Son of the late Rev. Levi Gachanja and Mariam Wanjiru, and son-in-law of the late Lawrence Kweka and the late Caroline Kweka. Dearest brother of the late Leah Nyambugi, the late Ben Ngumba, Muthoni Likimani, Naomi, the late Rhoda Wanjiru, the late John Kago, Samwel Mwangi, and Joseph Gachanja. Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held daily via Zoom Video Conference at 2000hrs (EAT) on 26th, 27th and 28th May 2020. The meeting ID is 845 6467 3977 and the Password is 631319. The burial service will be held on Saturday May 30th beginning at 10am at the family home in Kahuhia, Muranga County. Caroline Kweka

Uncle Kariuki was a loving person and he always used to call me "mamaangu". I remember when I was a child he really used to love giving me and my brothers (sweets (PK specifically) ) whenever he came to visit us. I always enjoyed his company. The last time we had a chat on WhatsApp was this easter. I sent my Easter greetings on Saturday and he replied back the same day😊. Then on Sunday morning very early in the morning he sent me a text saying "HE Is Not There, HE IS Risen".... I laughed with Joy and it made my morning. Asante Bwana Yesu Kwa Maisha ya uncle Wangu, ninatambua kuwa kila jambo na wakati wake, ninakupa sifa na utukufu Maana wewe ndio faraja yetu wakati kama huu. My Cousins Gachanja, Manka and Ciru tupo PaMoja.I love you guys so much from the deepest part of my heart. You are my family. I PRAY that God will bless each one of you and enlarge your territory and that his hand will always be upon you. Rest In Peace Uncle Kariuki. It was an honour to have known Uncle Kariuki and had him in our family's life. So beautiful to hear the tributes of a life well lived that honoured God. My prayer for you Gachu, Ciiru & Manka is that you may hear your loving Heavenly Father speak to you as He says to each of you, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you Gachu, Ciiru and Manka and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Is 41:10 May you experience His embrace as His treasured children as He carries you though this season. All my love and hugs, so sad that due to Covid restrictions, I can't hug and be present in person as I would have loved to.
