Martin L. Fried

January 28th, 1944 - September 1st, 2021

January 28th, 1944 - September 1st, 2021

"In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." (Lennon/McCartney) On September 1, 2021 Martin Fried lost his brief and brutal battle with pancreatic cancer, but he was surrounded with love and music in his final moments. Marty loved life and his enthusiasm was contagious. A musician, photographer, lawyer, landlord, artist, gardener, collector of shiny things, father, husband, partner, grandpa, lover of animals, volunteer, and mentor, Marty did not leave a single stone unturned. Marty had a rich and many-faceted life. We would love to know your memories and experiences with him. In lieu of flowers Marty would be delighted to know that you contributed to a cause in which he cared deeply and donate to the Michigan Humane Society by following this link: Support Michigan Humane

Denise Klein My cousin Marty was a few years older than I, and most of my memories of him are from my early childhood. I remember he always had a ready smile for me, and seemed so tall and full of energy, …. Because he was! I have fond memories of hearing him practicing on the drums. My sincere condolences to his children and his siblings and all who loved him…there were many. He touched many lives in many ways, and leaves a legacy his parents would have been very proud of.
