Recuerdos

There are so many words to write, but none could ever do him justice. To summarize his life, would be to severely undervalue it. Simply put: to know him, was to love him, to appreciate him, and to downright respect him. We will forever cherish the time we were lucky enough to spend with him, as well as the countless lessons and values he instilled. "Work hard yet smart, spend money on memories not materials, and, no matter what, always tell the truth." If there was ever a person who led by example, it was him. Andrew Bloom was a born leader, a family man, and one of the most hardworking individuals to have ever known. May he be in peace knowing that he made an impact on every life he touched and rest assured that we will always remember his name.

There is so many thoughts that have run through my head in the past few weeks. Andrew became family to me when his sister and I married. My plan was to leave a memory on here about a week ago, I also wanted to maybe leave a picture. Over the course of the last week I have spent much time cruising through pictures only to find there were so many, so many events and gatherings so many special times that many family members have been getting text and messages from me with a picture attached. Pictures of Beth performing my wedding ceremony after just loosing her home to hurricane Andrew. Pictures of Beth marrying my Daughter Jessica to her husband Sean. We became one big family and Andrew became my brother, to see all of us together as one big family at my grandsons 1st birthday. Andrew and I have had many laughs together as well as times of tears, we have hugged each other and we have slapped each other. When I screwed up he would let me know and when he screwed up he heard it from me. Andrew was that one person I could call or see and never worry about how he was going to react, we were ourselves and respected each other. The last few weeks I have woken in the night to have him on my mind.It will be awhile before I can accept no more calls. Andrew lives on in the way he touched my life, to see April and Kyle beginning their adult life, Daddy was proud. I don't know if they remember and I wasn't even there but I know that a simple thing one day stuck in his head forever. Fifi Whose Fifi? we don't know no Fifi. I could go on forever with stories and thoughts, so I will just close by saying Andrew you are loved and missed but you will live on in my life as long as I live. Somethings I do now are just the way I do it is because of advice or some little statement you said that stuck, and always will. To the family you all know I love you and always look forwards to the times we have together, I hope to have many more before its my turn to go.

From Nils Kroyer: I still can't believe that he's gone, I met Andrew back in 1972 and have been the best of friends all this time. His heart was always larger than life itself and I already miss him very much. Rest in peace my brother my friend.😪🙏🏻
