Albert Eugene Parrish, 78- died January 21, 2021 at his home in Watsonville, California. He was born November 26, 1942 in Madera, Ca, son of the late Elmer and Melva Parrish. He was the second to the youngest of his four siblings. He is survived by his brothers Jerry and Robert, sister-in-law, Susan and his sister, Sharon Plant and her husband, Glen. He is also survived by his son Craig and daughter-in-law Heather Parrish, son-in-law, Curtis McAdams, grandchildren, Nick Muccia, Mandy and her husband Ulises Gutierrez, Zach & Chloe Parrish and Taylor McAdams. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Ruth Resetar Parrish, his sister, Pat Dulany, and daughter, Tania McAdams. He grew up in Chowchilla, Ca, where he graduated from high school in 1961. Shortly after high school, (1964) he joined the Capitola Fire Protection District. He was with the fire department for 30 years and retired as a Captain with the Central Fire Protection District in 1994. During his tenure at the fire department, he also served with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's office for ten years. Al, AKA Nickle Jack, was an avid and skilled gun enthusiast. He was a Life-Time member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) and participated in many events over the years. In addition to Cowboy shooting, he also enjoyed sporting clays. Two of Al's other passions in life were attending the Reno Air Races with his long-time friends and Nascar races in Daytona with his son. When he wasn't off shooting or attending races, he could usually be found at one of his usual spots in town for lunch with friends. Al was well-known, loved and respected by his friends & family and will be dearly missed. Due to COVID-19, details for the service are still to come. We would have loved to celebrate his life with you all in person through this, but in the meantime, please share a memory and/or photos through this memorial page. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to contribute in honor of Al's memory, please feel free to consider the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. https://firefightercancersupport.org/
