Your laughter lingers in our hearts and your love remains our greatest treasure.
Aden Donald Robert Sullivan, 26, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on May 8, 2025 in San Diego, California. Born on October 27, 1998 in Vancouver, Washington, Aden was the son of Jason and Rebecca Sullivan.
He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Aden loved his family and friends. He stayed connected to them daily to remind them of how valued and loved they were. He brought a bright light and big presence that impacted every room he walked in; through his infectious laugh, his inappropriate jokes, his silly dances, and his handsome face. He had a genuine interest in all of his people, gave the best big bear hugs, and ended every conversation with an ‘I love you’.
Aden is survived by his loving parents, Jason and Rebecca Sullivan; his sibling, Sada; his grandmother, Peggie Collins; his grandparents, Donald and Kimberly Sullivan; his five uncles and their spouses; and a large extended family of great-grandmother, several great-aunts and great-uncles, and cousins who adored him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Aden was a gift to all of us. Though I only had the privilege of knowing him for a few years, in that time he left an indelible mark on my heart. I have many memories with Aden I cherish but one in particular illustrates the essence of Aden’s spirit. One Halloween, a few years ago, Aden, Nate, and I had plans to hang out. My brother Trever, who has Cerebral Palsy and Autism, also came over for Nate and me to take trick-or-treating. Trever is just a few weeks older than Aden and, one thing about Trevor, he has the ability to talk endlessly with anyone willing to listen, especially about his favorite topics: movies and video games. Many times, people who are new to spending time with Trevor aren't sure how to connect with Trever. But Aden was different. Aden sat down with Trever for over an hour, fully immersed in their conversation about video games, cherished childhood shows (because they grew up at the same time), and movies they were excited to see. The presence and willingness to connect that Aden brought to the conversation touched my heart. Aden saw Trevor for who he is and fully embraced him. Aden left such an impression that to this day, Trever still asks about him routinely. He asks when they can hang out again, how Aden is doing, and often talks about how cool Aden is. Aden didn't just spend time with Trever; he made him feel valued and understood. Another thing about Aden that I love, Aden had a way of connecting. His phone calls with us were always a burst of energy and joy, we could expect some wild jokes, hilarious stories, perhaps an off-color remark, and a genuine care and curiosity about how we were doing. He would call just to check in, to ask about Penelope, or to make us laugh. That is who Aden was, someone who brought light and laughter everywhere he went. Aden also had a selfless streak. He showed up for us time and again, helping us move more than once, including once when I was pregnant, and he never expected anything in return (except maybe some yummy Indian food). That was just the kind of person Aden was, a vibrant and generous soul who gave so much of himself to others. Though he is no longer with us in his earthly form, Aden’s spirit remains. He touched my heart, and he changed the lives of so many people for the better. I am forever grateful to have known him, and I know I am a better person because of the time we shared. His joy, his kindness, his kookiness, and his love will stay with me always. To Jason and Becca, your strength and love as parents is nothing short of extraordinary. Aden’s beautiful, hilarious, wild, and radiant soul was a reflection of who you are as parents and all the love and support you gave him. I know words cannot capture the depth of your loss, and I am so sorry for the unimaginable pain you are enduring. Please know that we love you and hold you close in our hearts.

I cherish memories of time we shared when he was younger on our trips to the lake and various places. He was always full of enthusiasm and eager for whatever our adventures would bring. I’ll always remember him like that, with his curls, quick smile, and joyful caring spirit. Anytime spent with Aden was a good time. He is and always will be loved so much by his family. Aden left us way too soon but will hold a spot in our hearts forever. He will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, our sweet nephew and cousin Aden.

Just want to say I love you Aiden, we didn’t get to spend a ton of time in are later years but I will never forget the times we did have especially the ones we had growing up. you’ve made a lasting impact on everyone who’s had the pleasure to be around you and I’ll always cherish the times running around at family gatherings together and playing as kids. You where always full of positive energy and outgoing anytime we where together, you where truly unique individual and true to yourself. Rest easy Cousin <3

Aden was pure energy and joy whenever you had the pleasure of his company. He was someone that truly wanted to engage with you instead of sitting on the sidelines. His interactions and socializing with my daughters (his cousins) was so fun to watch and I wish there was more of them. Aden was someone we were all affected by, in the best of ways, and he is, and will continue to be missed daily. I loved the kid, just like most of us who got the benefit of having him in our lives. Love you Aden. Rest in peace man.
