And you know that I must go a stór
Suzanne Marie Marker, born Suzanne Koslov on January 30, 1967, in Downey, California, died October 7, 2026, in Seattle. She was 59. She grew up in La Habra, went to Sonora High School, and as a kid worked at the Fox Theater in Fullerton, where friendships started that lasted the rest of her life. She was fearless and feisty, with a way about her that made you want to be known by her. A line she loved fits her well: “Unconcerned but not indifferent.”
She moved to San Francisco and studied film at the San Francisco Art Institute. She started at the I-Beam in coat check and ended up running security, then became stage manager at Slim’s, where she met Dennis Lunny, her first husband and the father of her children.
She had four children, Artemiy Lunny, Sophie Kate Lunny, Owen (Nemo) Lunny, and Ava Lunny. She told them, over and over, “I love you more than all the tea in China.” They truly were the love of her life.
She and David Marker had known each other since high school, through a wide circle of mutual friends. They found each other again as adults. She wrote him, “I found my friend again.” He moved to Washington, they married, and they lived in Seattle. She was smart and witty, with a sharp memory, and passionate about almost everything, especially music, film, and food. She was Catholic, and the faith stayed with her. She wrote the way she talked: fast, sideways, funny, then a clean landing. For more than a decade, serious illness took over the days. The passions did not fade. She lived from “the pain and the joy of life” at once. She cared for whoever was in front of her, including strangers, and she drank deep from what life offered.
She is survived by her husband, David Marker; her children, Artemiy Lunny, Sophie Kate Lunny, Owen (Nemo) Lunny, and Ava Lunny; her stepmother, Pamela Koslov; her brothers, Christopher Koslov and Michael Koslov; and her former husband, Dennis Lunny.
Services will be held and are open to all. Dates will be announced.

The first time I met you was to walk Maude and it was my first ever Wag walk, I was so close to not doing it (how different life would have been!). When I reached your door it had a Winston Churchill quote above the number, “Never, never ever quit” , little did I know how that little card would sum up so much about you and our following years as friends. I’m going to miss not having you and your beautiful honesty on the other end of the phone Suzanne. Without realizing it we became integral in eachother lives for a few years and now it’s passed it feels horrible to think that I won’t be taking you to another yard sale (while annoyed that you promised we’d just be an hour! 🙄😂), and that we won’t be sitting in my old Camry eating fast food and having a joke afterwards enjoying an occasional bonus if it rained! You used to read me like a book Suzanne, I could hear how badly something at work was affecting me simply by how concerned your “You doing ok?” Sounded as you asked it.. But then again maybe without realizing it, I was purposely letting you know something was up so that you’d ask me to come sit and chat about whatever it was. Im so sad your gone, but so happy you’re free of the medical burden, may your body be young again Suzanne, just as your spirit always was, I wish you could have stuck around, but then again old age wouldn’t have ever suited you. You cheeky, brave, intelligent and loyal soul. I look forward to seeing you again some day Suzanne. Love to you.
