Mikel Arteta
I had the privilege, the honour, to meet him and to spend time with him, to learn from him, and there are people at football clubs who have a role and fulfil it, and others who create an identity, values, and they have a vision to create that future for the football club. That legacy Ken is going to leave, to all of us, to our football club, to everybody that has been close to him, is going to be forever.
Lee Dixon
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the guidance that you gave me when I signed for Arsenal. You were the bedrock of Arsenal Football Club, and always have been. You will be sadly missed. All my condolences go to Mr Ken Friar's family. Rest in peace, Mr Friar. I love you.
Tony Adams
Ken would call me every December to wish my family and I a happy Christmas. What a class act he was - the epitomisation of all that Arsenal stands for: Victory Through Togetherness.
Charlie George
He was Mr Arsenal, have no fear about that, he always has been and always will be. The years he had at the club are a testament to his personality and the incredible qualities he had. It takes a special person to work through that many eras. He's rightly honoured here and that should never be forgotten. Ken was a man that spoke little but did a lot, and he did a lot.
David Seaman
What a sad day. My deepest condolences to Mr Arsenal's loved ones. Ken Friar is an Arsenal icon and his achievements will never be forgotten.
