Darien Joseph Williams

Darien was fondly known as D J. I met DJ on the 9th floor at the main post office in about 1982. DJ was a jovial person, if you could connect with that side of him, but he didn't take no mess. He was a very intellectual person. I wasn't, and still am not...lol, as well read as he was but he never made me feel small in our conversations. I wouldn't say he stooped to my level but he instilled some of his knowledge to me so that I could rise to his. He always called me Pammie and would drop me off at home sometimes. We would laugh and talk and just had good conversations during that ride home about our lives and life in general. He left the postal service before me but we kept in contact from time to time. I was late saying happy birthday a couple of times and he said, " maybe I should just change my birthday to accommodate you...lol" I will truly miss him as others will too. May God continue to provide comfort, strength, Love and support as you prepare for his homegoing. Peace & Blessings Pamela Royster
