Gosh so many precious memories with Wayne, Wendy, Scott, and Erica....Every summer trip and most Christmases - summer box office movies, 4th of July fireworks at the mall, Gatti's pizza, and anything else we could find to pass the time together. One of my best memories with Wayne was him taking Wendy and me to the Heart concert at Mile High Stadium in 1987, and he and I got to road trip back to Texas that summer in the Datsun - and anyone that knows Wayne understands that no song was repeated during the 15 drive because he was amply prepared! Wayne was such a huge part of my young life and I will treasure our wonderful memories. Wayne was so sweet, kind, compassionate, loving, super cool, and just so easy to be around. Always looking out for others. As much as my heart hurts accepting the reality that he is gone, it aches 100 fold for his family. I will carry the entire Hultquist family in my heart and in my prayers for peace and healing. I love you all.

As another cousin of Wayne's I can echo some of what was already posted. We haven't been in touch much lately, though I did get to meet up with him on a 2015 business trip. It was really the most time I had spent with his family. I truly appreciate the hospitality he and Sarah gave to me (and my colleague) on this trip. I've really been torn up about this since hearing. My prayers are with all of those grieving.

This picture was shared by Wayne's Uncle. This is baby Wayne, sitting on top of Larry's Vette and hearing his mommy's voice behind him.

Wayne was a salt-of-the-earth, grounded, rock-steady man, an excellent Dad, an understated fellow, with a huge heart and huge southern smile that drew everyone in. I'm lucky to have known him as a brother in law for so many years. I will miss his sheepish laugh.

Wayne was my "cool" older cousin. He loved to make people happy. He was charismatic and fun. He was caring and protective; and made sure my brother didn't exclude me all the time. If he had to put up with Wendy, Scott had to put up with me. Some of my best memories of Wayne are at our family's property, "the cabin". He was in his element out there; hunting, fishing, and exploring. When Wayne was younger, he dreamed of building a castle on that property. He had this wonderful love of what Texas meant to him, and the cabin had a lot to do with that. I am absolutely gutted and heartbroken by this tragedy. Sending so much love, Erika
