Sheila Miguez, 52, went to heaven on April 1, 2024.

She was born to her parents Kenneth and Nancy on March 28, 1972. She was an avid reader and loved helping others. She loved reading about and researching crows. She even went to the North Cascades Institute to learn more about crows. She also loved hiking and she loved grocery store across the street to Cermak Fresh Market, a staple in Chicago. May she fly high with the crows she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her parents and siblings Sharon (Steve) Clark and Michael (Tiffany) Miguez. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Joshua Clark, Rachel (Chris) Stiles, Debbie Clark, great nephew Jesse, and friends Frank and Katherine Duncan.

In lieu of flowers, the Miguez family requests you donate to your favorite charity or do a good deed.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Sheila, I've thought of you every year or so since you left Motorola. I never reached out, and I am very sorry for that. I am shocked to discover that you are gone. I enjoyed working with you, and I hope you are in a better place now.

Sheila brought goodness into the world, more than she realized, I think. She will be missed.

Sheila was a kind, giving person who created spaces where others could feel safe and learn. She created the Chicago Python Project Nights, which over 7 years helped hundreds of people learn to code. She did similar things with many other organizations over the years. Personally, she was a wonderful friend who made me feel normal and accepted, as she did for many others. Even though we lost touch in the last few years, I will always think of her.
