I worked with Lisa at the Regional Pay Office for the army in Chester. I remember her getting married and not wanting a fuss and wasn’t happy when a local paper put in “football star married!” She was beautiful, kind and funny. I was honoured when she accepted my invitation to be my second son’s godmother . She didn’t see us much later on as her life was busy but William always wanted to reconnect and was hoping to do so. It is strange to think our careers took us both into education Rest in peace my beautiful friend xxx

So sorry to hear this sad news, I had a message in a Christmas card from a mutual friend. I did my teacher training with Lisa in 1997/98 and have many happy memories of those times. We kept in touch for a long time afterwards and would meet up every now and again to moan about our lot. Lots of love to Barry, Alex, Eleri and the rest of Lisa’s family xxx

I was really saddened to hear of Lisa’s passing whilst on a training course today. I was a trainee teacher when I met Lisa in 2016. She was always so caring and supportive. The children in her class loved her and I am so grateful for the things she taught me- helping me to become the teacher I am today.

I miss Lisa, she was such a gorgeous person, I knew her through Sally and we went to Cheltenham lit festival many times, happy days with lots of wonderful memories. Every one loved her, so warm. welcoming and funny, a lover of life, we have to follow her example. We'll never forget you Lisa xxxx

I met Lisa in 2017 on a drive to Bishop, CA for a meet up with the rest of our JMT (John Muir Trail) group. We hit it off straight away and didn't stop chatting till we parted ways a few weeks later! My parents are from Liverpool so Lisa's accent was a delight to hear, we shared a tent for the first four nights and bonded pretty quickly as you do when you're thrown together for a few weeks in the wild. Lisa was a great support throughout and we had some fun talks over the 20 days we hiked, it was obvious how much her family meant to her. Despite this being a really tough trip Lisa pushed on and I'm sure she took some great memories with her. Lisa was down to earth and I could always turn to her for a much needed candid conversation and a laugh, the experience would not have been the same without her. It was hard to chose a photo to share but this one captures the joy Lisa experienced after all the hard work she put in. Think of you often my friend.
