"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9
Len was a man who truly understood how to build a beautiful life, both literally through his work and through the genuine care and joy he brought into the world. He loved God deeply, and both his faith and his proud service as a United States Navy veteran shone through in the way he treated others. He believed that life was a gift meant to be lived fully, shared generously with family, and filled with a constant sense of humor and laughter.
Before launching his career, Len proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He spent his career as a builder and a designer, using his unique vision to bring projects to life. That passion followed him home, where his craftsman’s heart and ingenuity came alive. From ambitious, large-scale landscape projects to making sure the house was always the best decorated on the block for the holidays, he had an innate ability to shape the world around him. He took immense pride in transforming spaces and creating a beautiful environment for the people he loved.
For Len, life was best lived with a soundtrack, great flavor, and a house full of people. He possessed a deep, lifelong love for music and a true passion for cooking, using them as tools to do what he loved most, bring people together. Armed with a brilliant sense of humor and an endless desire to make people laugh, Len was the ultimate bright light in any room. When the music started playing or he was commanding the backyard grill, he knew exactly how to turn up the energy and party. He was the life of the celebration, always using his quick wit and sharp one-liners to ensure everyone around him was smiling and enjoying the moment. He leaves us with a legacy of pure joy, uncontained laughter, and memories we will never forget.
Beneath his big personality and hard-working hands lay an incredibly tender side. Len possessed a naturally caring nature and a deep, genuine compassion for others. This gentle spirit was perhaps most beautifully seen in his special connection to animals. Creatures of all kinds were naturally drawn to him, sensing the quiet kindness and safety he offered. His love for animals was a reflection of his big heart, showing everyone who knew him best just how deeply he cared for the living world around him.
Above all the things he managed and built, Len’s proudest legacy is his family. He was the devoted husband and rock to his wife Vicki, and a proud, supportive father to his children and grandfather to his grandchildren.
While our hearts are heavy, our family is profoundly grateful that we were all able to gather together recently for a beautiful reunion. We are so thankful that we got to spend those days hugging him, sharing stories, and laughing with him. Because we were given that perfect gift of a shared celebration while he was vibrant and with us, we want to keep that beautiful energy going right here.

Hi Kelly, I have young memories of your dad. One was when we both got into trouble and got grounded because we picked the only tomato Mrs. Weger had on the vine and we ate it. She was going to get it for her dinner that and it was gone. She figured it was me and Lenny! We both had to then go next door and apologize which was not fun at all. Another was when peanut butter came in a can. Uncle Len had been warned not to touch the lid or inside it. Well he did and cut his right hand. I could write with both hands so tried to teach him how to write with his left hand. He was not very successful so I wrote his homework for him. Praying for all of you and sending love as he transitions to be in heaven. Love from Susan (Jay) Booth Sent from AOL on Android
