Larry Nelson Lawrence, 67, husband of Martha Sue (Cobb) Lawrence, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was born on Nov. 1, 1951, in Maysville, Kentucky, son of the late Alva Lee and Imogene (Graves) Lawrence. Larry retired from Lexmark, where he had been the Overseas Parts Coordinator. Larry adored his family, and he was a great handyman. He enjoyed fishing any chance he could and spending time on the beach. In addition to his beloved wife of almost 48 years, Larry is survived by his two sons, Scott Anthony (Sherry) Lawrence and Timothy Lee (Leah) Lawrence; three grandchildren, Jaxson Parker Lawrence, Chloe Grace Lawrence and Casen Blake Lawrence; one sister, Virginia May Dunn; two brothers, Alva Douglas (Ella) Lawrence and Dennis Clay (Vicki) Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lawrence. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 4, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lewis Lawrence, Mo Bidarian, Chris Lyons, Bradley Vanhoose, Danny Cottongim and Ray Riddle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Rodgers, Doug Lawrence, Dennis Lawrence, Don Allen and Garry Whaley. The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US Highway 62E, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031 or to The American Cancer Society, 1504 College Way, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
