Jessie Albert Acosta Sr. Big Al

JESSIE ALBERT ACOSTA SR. "BIG AL", was born on May 17, 1959, in the City of San Bernardino, CA to Margarito Acosta and Francisca Acosta. He was raised in Colton, CA along with his siblings, Sally Hernandez, Frances Hernandez, Mike Acosta, Isabel Aceves, Juanita Arroyo, Meliton Vega, Israel Vega, Norma Medina, Margaret Sandoval, Theresa Del La Rosa, Mary Nuñez, and Tommy Acosta. As a child, Big Al, attended and graduated from the Colton Schools. He later moved to Rialto, CA where he lived alongside his wife and children until his passing at the age of 59, in Las Vegas, NV on February 9, 2019. As a young boy he began working along side his father working and learning the trade of Plastering. As an adult, Big Al, obtained his Plasterer's Contracting License, and he practiced under the name of Big Al's Plastering for over 30 years. Big Al, is survived by his wife of 41 years, Yvonne Acosta, his four children, Jessie Albert Acosta Jr., Marina Acosta, Michael Acosta, and Sabrina Gonzalez, and 8 grandchildren Jesse Acosta, Destiny Hernandez, Gary Mendoza, Jessie A. Acosta III, Violet Acosta, Elias Martin, Isaiah Acosta, and Arabella Acosta. He was a kind soul loved by all his nieces and nephews and gained many good friends along his life's journey. He will be greatly missed by many but we know that he has now joined those who have gone before him and that as we each are called home we will see him again in eternal paradise with our Lord. This is not goodbye it is only farewell. Please join us to bid farewell to Big Al on March 4, 2019 at Echoes of Love Ministry located at 710 W C St, Colton, CA 92324 at 10:00 AM Afterwards, there will be a private reception at The American Legion Post 155 located at 1401 Veterans Way, Colton, CA 92324. Reception will be reserved only to family and close friends.
