Loved by many, Jeffrey was a cherished son to James and Virginia Patton, a beloved brother to Jessica, Joshua, Josiah, Justin, and Jacob, and a loyal friend to countless. Born and raised in Mesquite, TX, Jeffrey was deeply loved by his mother and father. As a child, he was very rambunctious. His energetic fervor certainly did not dissipate as he got older. Jeffrey loved expending his energy through a couple of his biggest passions: running and tennis. During high school, Jeffrey was active in track and field and tennis. His high school years were filled with friends and good times. Jeffrey was a popular kid in school. He was funny, energetic, and enjoyable to be around. So much so, that he was nominated for prom king. Into adulthood, Jeffrey would continue participating in his favorite physical activities. He would sometimes run for hours on end. Jeffrey loved running, playing tennis, working out, lifting weights, or pretty much any type of physical activity. His mother fondly remembers the numerous times she and Jeffrey would go out on the courts to play tennis together. He was also an avid lover of music and movies. Anyone that spent any amount of time with him, would quickly recognize his deep passion for the arts of film-making and music. Pick a film, and he could tell you the director, writer, or a number of other facts. Sing a song, and he could name it, tell you the artist, and the year it was released. He was so impacted by his love of music that he took up guitar later in life. Jeffrey was also a lover of animals. Particularly dogs and cats. His cat, Dirk, will be taken in and cared for by his mother and father as a fond memory to their beloved son. Jeffrey was a hard-worker. No matter what it was, he would put his whole heart and strength into whatever task he was committed to. Jeffrey's abundance of energy correlated into many hours of playful fun with his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly...he was always the favorite uncle. The uncle that would never fail to bring a smile to the faces of his nieces and nephews.

These things were just some of Jeffrey’s background and hobbies. But more importantly, Jeffrey was a really sweet, caring, generous, loving guy. Jeffrey was the kind of person that would go out of his way to provide help to others in need. He was the type of person that would text that he loves you out of the blue - always making sure to go the extra mile to let others know how much he appreciates them. He loved going to friend's and families homes to just hang out...the kind of person that made you feel better just by simply having him around. He was a fun, enjoyable person. Jeffrey had a wonderful sense of humor. If you knew that you were going to see him, you could always anticipate much laughter and joy. Jeffrey cared deeply and loved tremendously.

Jeffrey Patton is sorely missed. We, his family, are absolutely heart-broken to hear of his death. The impact he had on the people who loved him will reverberate throughout the rest of our lives.

In loving memory, Jeffrey Patton’s family.

“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

Prayers for all the family and friends of Jeffrey Patton. I was blessed to coach tennis and teach at MHS while Jeffrey went through Mesquite High School . He was an amazing young man. Very fun to be around. He was great friends with so many including my daughter Tiffany and son Daylan. They had a group of friends that would do anything for each other including an all day long Boy meets World marathon. Love and miss you Jeffery
