Felix W. Natis Sr. was born on May 15th, 1917 in Florin, California and came to Palo Alto, California as an infant and remained a devoted resident of Palo Alto for 101 years until he moved to Sunrise Senior Living in Sunnyvale, CA in 2018.   During his long wonderful life, Felix accomplished many feats. He attended Lytton Elementary School, graduated from Palo Alto High School and attended San Jose State. Felix was an avid trumpet player and some would say a phenom in tennis in his younger years.   He was married to his first wife Phoebe for 26 years and they were blessed with four children; Lynn, Nancy, Terry and Felix Jr. Felix married a second time to Bea for 28 years. He ran for Palo Alto city council in the 1960s. He retired from SRI after three decades. Felix was a member of the Palo Alto Reserve Police Force for 25 years. After retirement, he worked for The Palo Alto Times.   In his later years, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants and spending time with family.   Felix is survived by his four children, Lynn Natis, Nancy Robinson (Natis), Folahan Akindele (Terry Natis) and Felix Natis Jr. He is the grandfather to Donny, Lauren and Adam and has many great grandchildren. Felix is also the step-grandfather to Erika and Jason

I just learned today that your father passed. I am so sorry for your loss. I've known your family ever since I was 16 years old, I'm 66 years old now. i remember your father's quiet strength and gentle compassion as well. He will be missed. Thinking of all of you, and hope your memories of your father bring you some peace.

My Dad My very first memory of my Dad was when I was about 2 yrs old, he was getting ready for work early in the morning and he found me crying quietly by myself inside the toybox... I was upset because I had a wet diaper on. He saw and heard me and picked me up comforting me and found my Mom and he handed me off to her so he could leave for work. I guess that 's when I was aware of his comforting strong nature. He was always someone I looked up to and admire all my life. His quiet strength that was my Dad.

Uncle Felix was so kind, calm & patient with all of us. His smile was warm and bright which was always comforting to us kids even in mischief times. When I think of him I will see him smoking his pipe; or coming in with his police uniform on. I was so impressed with him still playing tennis at 80. What a beautiful life and uncle. RIP
