Elizabeth Carter
August 14th, 1955 - May 12th, 2021
August 14th, 1955 - May 12th, 2021
Elizabeth Carter was born on the14th August, 1955 in Siparia, Trinidad to Herman (deceased) and Mary Dukhedin Lalla (nee Lutchman). She was the third of six children.
Elizabeth spent her childhood growing up in Centeno and Wallerfield on acres and acres of farming and agricultural land. She would tell stories of waking up early to feed the pigs, catching fish in the rivers and ponds nearby, pealing and sucking sugar cane until her mouth blistered. She would talk about her family and her siblings and the times they spent together.
In 1976 Elizabeth Dukhedin Lalla married Gabriel Carter. Together they went on to have four children Yosand, Christopher (deceased), Leandro (Mackie) and Ashley. She was the best mother and even though at times we weren’t able to have the things we wanted, she always made sure we had what we needed.
She spent time making memories with us so we would always have a piece of her when this time came.
She shined as a mother and as grandmother. Her grandkids meant the world to her and she took time to cook with them and play dress up and cuddle and read stories to them so they would know and feel how much she loved them.
Lizzy loved to cook and experiment with recipes, she loved to laugh and tell jokes, she loved spending time by the beach. She was hard working and kind to others. She always had the best intensions and never gave up faith in God.
On the morning of the 12th May, 2021 at around 4:27am, Elizabeth Carter passed away at the Augustus Long Hospital. She was only 65 years.
