Celia Feliciano-Munoz

Celia was a decent person all her life. She worked to maintain her home and supported her family. She fought a lifelong battle with mental health and did so with the undertanding and care we as her family would give her. She worked through her illness in many jobs including housekeeping, grocery store work, and various other opportunities she was given while being recognized for her efforts. Unfortunately, she had also faced adversity in life due to ignorance and impatience with her but she always looked to her faith and family to find strength and reason. Her husband Candido N Munoz passed in December 2020 and we as her sons did everything to put her needs ahead of our own during her grieving. Celia had a good life at home with her family in her latter life and would always say "hogar, dulce hogar". “Home Sweet Home”.

 

Through her illness she managed to find the good things in everyday life and was grateful to have been married to her husband for 37 years. She was an amazing cook, and although she had disabilities she was very inspired in her crochet work and many other arts and crafts she did at home. Her husband Candido would not miss an opportunity to see her latest creations. They were both decent people who stayed together through both the best of times and the worst. Celia was loved by her husband and family and in return gave us a wonderful mother and beautiful human being who was worth all the patience and understanding it took to get there. And an important lesson here is that people can always be more rewarding than material persuit. Thank you both mom and dad! Your sons will never forget you.
