Caring father, husband, son, and brother. Always was the smartest guy in whatever room he was in.

Byron was born in Edna, Texas, on May 4, 1943. He passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022.  His parents were Dr. Byron Martin White and Olive Ione Bullard White. His older sister Martha Anne (Dollie) was 2 years old when Byron was born.Byron’s father was a veterinarian in Edna for several years before he moved the family to San Antonio, where he worked in meat inspection for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. In 1946-1947 the family lived briefly in Pleasanton and Karnes City, Texas. The family settled in Kenedy in 1948; where Dr, White began a large animal veterinary practice, working on many ranches in the area. When growing up, Byron often went with his Dad on veterinary calls.Byron started first grade in Kenedy Elementery School. He graduated from Kenedy High School in 1961. While in high school he played football, basketball, and track. He attended Texas A&M and later the University of Texas in Austin, graduating in 1965 with a major in Computer Science and minor in German. Martha Maxon, Sister

Byron was my younger brother and only sibling. We were very close growing up and throughout our lives. Though we lived far apart as adults, we always kept in touch by phone and e-mail. I saved all of his emails and it Is comforting to read them now. He was an expert on the computer and helped me many times by phone to diagnose and fix difficult computer problems. Byron was a quiet, kind and gentle man, who always did his best, but never boasted. I will always love and remember him.
