Tribute to my other half
The death of a husband is one of the most tragic events in life. It brings sorrow and unending grief that cannot be forgotten. Every time memories fill my mind, and I remember the good times we shared. Masheti had a heart of gold, he was a loving husband and father to our children, a friend, a shoulder to lean on.
Bonny, you were the tree that gave us a big shade to shield us. I will dearly miss you, you have left us kwa mataa! Baba Nadia you were the best we had. I will really miss your company. I don't know how I will carry on, without you, but I want to believe that the good Lord shall not leave our side, and shall be our source of providence. We will keep praying for your departed soul, pray for us too. You have been a blessing to many, many speak well of you. You will be dearly missed. Thank you for loving me and the children. I will sure miss you so much my best friend and partner. Rest easy my love, I believe we shall one day reunite in the heavens above. Till we meet at the feet of Jesus. You fought a good fight, you kept the faith and have finished your race. Rest easy my hero.Hellen K. Masheti
Tribute: Ansel Makumbi
My dad was loved dearly, he brought much happiness to many hearts that he touched. Dad was always kind, caring and understanding towards those who called on him. Whenever anyone needed help, he gave it willingly and freely. Dad was a blessing and God's gift. Dad, as I purpose to join secondary school, I promise to do my best and make you proud, happy and smile from the heaven's above. I will carry your legacy.
Our legend, you are not dead, you are resting for "LEGENDS DONT DIE, THEY REST." Dad, I will carry on your mantle because you believed in me. Go well Dad, rest easy with God's angels. Till we meet again. Your loving son, Ansel Paul "Makush" Makumbi
Tribute: Nadia Khasiala
My dad was my bestie, an incredible dad. You provided for us and made sure we lacked nothing. Dad, am grateful for the guidance you provided. I will miss you every day. Today, remembering my bestie brings great memories we shared. You enabled me travel both local and international trips. You were a great fan of Man U, when they lost a game you would get mad at everybody at home. Dad you were a courageous and resourceful person. I never questioned whether you loved/cared for me because it was more than obvious. I will feel you each and every day of my life.
Dad, my mind talks to you, my heart looks at you. You were to take me to the university in USA and am ready and eager to pursue a degree and become a pediatrician. Dad, I remember the last words you told me before going to school " my daughter, work hard, you will find me well, so I went to school with my head high up. I called mum whenever I missed you. She always said you were fine, and so on Monday when I asked mum to bring me to hospital to see you, and I called you and you couldn't respond, it broke my heart, but I decided to pray for you.Dad, you told us that we will never suffer nor lack, we put our trust in God; we believe that the Lord shall never forsake us. To my dad's colleagues, I thank you for supporting us through dad's illness and during this time of grief.
To my dearest mum, May God's grace continue being sufficient to you. Thank you for the love, care and concern you had for our dear father and us, your children. May God bless you always. We love you! Mum and my dearest brother Ansel, we now remain the three 'Masheti musketeers'. May we remain strong forever as dad would have loved, let us keep his legacy forever. Dad, safiri salama, tutaonana Mungu akipenda..forever in my heart...love always..loving daughter Nadia Masheti
Tribute – Cousins
Ndumu njewa, Murinyula or My person is how we used to salute each other. For over a year or so we have seen you in immense pain. Makush it is time to rest, take a rest from the pain, the sorrows and the fears of this world. We were close, we feel like we have lost two people, although it is difficult for us to see beyond the sorrow, we choose to hold on to all the good memories, the great moments we shared from childhood to adulthood. Makush akufaki lundi, lala malamu tokomonana lisusu epai ya Nzambe. Mash, Julius, Pablo, Vinny and Edu.
Tribute – Sisters-in-law
On the day we took this photos, we had made a home visit to Makush. We laughed, made memories and shared a meal, we left leaving fulfilled and hopeful. It saddens us and hard to believe that you have departed this world, but we take comfort in the fact that there's no more pain, no more suffering. Rest in heavenly peace brother. Jackie, Jane and Joy
