Bobby DeWayne Allen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Allen, who left this world at the age of 57. He is survived by his beloved children: Angel Annette Cleary (32), Nicholas DeWayne Allen (31), and Summer Lynn Allen (28), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Sean Cleary Jr. (10), Freya Lyanna Cleary (6), and Zerrick Alexander Cleary (3). Bobby is also remembered by his ex-wife, Jennifer Bristol (54), and many cousins, siblings, uncles, and aunts. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Cox, his brother, Lamar Allen, and his grandparents, who held a special place in his heart. 

Born in Columbus, Georgia, Bobby led a life rich in experiences and love. Over the years, he called several places home, including Nevada, California, Alabama, and spent the majority of his life in Denver, Colorado. In June 2024, Bobby made the decision to return to Alabama to be closer to family, a move that was meant to allow him to spend precious time with those he loved. Sadly, his health declined during this time, but he remained strong and full of the heart that defined his spirit. 

Bobby was a man who lived with independence, strength, and kindness. He was always ready with a joke, a listening ear, or a word of advice when someone needed it. He had a natural ability to bring comfort to those around him, always providing a shoulder to lean on or words of wisdom in times of need. His service in the United States Navy was a significant part of his life, and he carried with him fond memories of his shipmates, the ports he visited, and the many parts of the world he had the privilege to experience.

His family and friends will forever remember him for his laughter, his loyalty, and his unwavering love. Bobby’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. The family is accepting donations at this time to help honor Bobby’s wishes and provide him with the sendoff he truly deserves via the GoFundMe that is linked. Contributions will also help ensure that all of his children can be present to say their goodbyes. Any donations, or even sharing stories and memories of Bobby, will be deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
