السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
On Tuesday 11th April 2023 (20 Ramadan 1444 AH), our beloved Anam departed this world due to a tragic car accident. Anam was our daughter and our sister, and despite her demanding job as a dentist, she willingly gave her time to charitable causes and was always keen to help others. Anam’s heart touched the souls of countless people, and she was a true blessing from Allah ﷻ for all of us - a shining light in our lives. We as a family will truly miss her beautiful calm presence and witty nature. Alhamdulillah, Allah ﷻ decreed for her to depart in the holiest month of the year, in the best 10 days of this magnificent month. Anam was a beacon of light in our lives.
We as a family are truly overwhelmed with your duas, supportand generosity during this difficult time whilst we are dealing with the loss of our beloved Anam. Please continue to remember Anam and her family in your duas.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I hope inshAllah you’re all healing and doing well. I wanted to tell you after I had completed it, but when I returned back to jeddah I made the intention that the first umrah I do would be on behalf of Anam. I checked online the rulings etc, and alhumdulillah today after Fajr I went to makkah and alhumdulillah completed her umrah. May Allah accept it from me and grant her the reward. I think about her a lot, I only met her a handful of times but alhumdulillah that was enough for me to always remember her. Also subhanAllah I had reposted on my WhatsApp during the days of hajj her fundraising page and a very old friend of mine from South Africa reached out, she asked if she could share the Link and I said of course the more people that donate the better, she herself had lost her baby during hajj 2 years ago and this year Allah blessed her with a baby girl whom she named Anam. So subhanAllah I was just telling my mum look how far Allah has spread your daughters name and allowed for her fundraising to be shared worldwide- all resulting in reward for her akhirah. Hope inshAllah this brings you some comfort and peace in your heart. Take care and inshAllah will always remember you guys and Anam in my duas

It’s Anam’s birthday soon. not a single day goes by without thinking about her and her beautiful smile. I hope she is enjoying a big cup of tea up there in Jannah. Miss her so much. There’s so much to say but I genuinely can’t find the right words. Till we meet again

I met Anum during our time at King’s. We would meet sporadically in the prayer room. Different degrees and different years. But we found a mutual ground. We would find comfort through prayer in between revision and lectures. My friendship with Anum- though brief and fleeting- only shows its impact now that she’s gone- I’ve been upset since the day I’ve learned of her death; she was a memorable soul and clearly had an effect more than she would ever know. First memory was- MashaAllah what a beautiful smile, I thought, so befitting for a future dentist. Our encounters were limited- but she left a beautiful impression, she felt warm, gentle and just such a loving girl, thoughtful and kind. Amidst the chaos of revision she never failed to smile and be the calm. Dearest family of Anum, I don’t know you, but I can say confidently that you are all so wonderful/ special- because you have produced a daughter/ sister like Anum… Also be not sad for her, she is with her Maker now, she would never want you to be distressed because of her. We too, are also heading that way, sooner or later, but try your best to do all good/ amazing things so that you can speak to her about all your achievements and make her smile with pride and happiness (…that beautiful smile of hers- always so befitting for a dentist..) </3 Warmest wishes and sincere condolences, Susan Sherwali
