Leland Malcolm Nicolai

Very late to the game here, but I wanted to pass along my condolences to Lee's family and friends. It was Lee that brought me to the Skunk Works from Fort Worth, Texas. I contributed to some of his research and that got me exposed to other portions of the Skunk Works, where I worked for 20 years before transferring to Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control. Lee was always patient and his teaching skills were valuable to a host of Skunks and other LM engineers. I myself retired from Lockheed Martin as an LM Fellow in Reliability Engineering in 2025, after 33 years with the company.
