Cody Christopher Wiggs March 22, 1987 - April 24, 2021 It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the family of Cody Wiggs announce his sudden passing on April 24, 2021 as a result of a tragic accident. A native-born Coloradan, he lived his life in service to humanity, opening hearts, connecting people to their heart's purpose, and healing the planet soul by soul as… A son with whom we shared unending and infinite love. He was our best buddy. A brother whose immeasurable love and big heart was a guiding light for his sisters. An uncle whose pride, playfulness, and protectiveness knew no bounds. A friend who lifted our spirits and inspired us to be our best selves. A healer who impacted countless lives through his therapy practice, mindfulness coaching, the rituals of ceremony, and men's group. A teacher whose brilliant mind taught us how to live with intention, honesty, kindness, and compassion. A writer who wrote effortlessly with both aching beauty and scholarly precision. A seeker who embraced his own soul's highest calling with steadfast courage and grace. An adventurer who traveled broadly to touch the world more deeply. An outdoor enthusiast who excelled at his passions for skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, and simply being immersed in nature. Cody is survived by his parents Paul and Maryann Wiggs, sister Nicole (Alex) Bonaire and twin sister Kristen (Jordan) Betts, his nephew, Rhys Bonaire, his niece, Kaiya Betts, his dog, Juniper, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends from around the world. Cody wished to have his final place of rest be among the trees, the mountains, the water, and the stars of Twin Lakes, Colorado. Impermanence is a treasure trove filled with unearthed jewels of wisdom. Through this collection of reflective essays and autobiographical poetry, Cody invites readers on his hero's journey, offering a unique invitation to explore the evolving inner world of a warrior of the heart. Collected as field notes, his stories intertwine vivid life experiences, explorations of the known and unknown, and the profound impact of his deep connection to nature. Whether in prose or poetry, Cody's writings reflect an unwavering dedication to authenticity, fearlessly embracing emotional integrity, vulnerability, and unfiltered truth. Impermanence, published posthumously, is Cody's first book. Without a doubt, his most significant work was his own life well lived. To be released on May 25, 2025.

Finding Cody "Death ends a life, not a relationship." - Morrie Schwartz Dear Family and Friends, Today marks the second year of the absence of the physical presence of our son, Cody. Over the past two years our family has evolved into a new understanding of what it means to be in a relationship with Cody; our spirit son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, healer, friend. We are simply in awe when we sense Cody's presence with us, we marvel at the synchronicities appearing in our lives, we feel blessed that Cody continues to be our guide and teacher from the other side, and we are humbled that Juniper has found her forever home with us. How is it that we find what once was, but is now gone? And yet, we do find Cody. We find Cody in... the pause between the in-breath and the out-breath setting an intention, meditation, and ceremony showing up in life half-a-shade braver a passage of a book or in the lyrics of a song the stillness of the pink sky at dawn and the orange sky at dusk the serene mountain setting of Twin Lakes a heart shaped stone found on the path at the bottom of the Grand Canyon the voice in our heads encouraging us to live mindfully as our authentic selves the mountains while skiing in the quiet solitude of a run with fresh snow and a clear blue sky the playful, joy-filled, adventurous spirit of his nieces and nephews loving Juni on the couch when she's upside down with her legs in the air nature. In remembering Cody, we find Cody. Thank you for remembering Cody with us. Cody often wrote and spoke about true healing coming from the heart, not the head. It was his greatest joy to walk the heart warrior path. Thank you, thank you for walking with us during our seasons of loss and light. With heart, Paul, Maryann, Nicole and Krissy

I met Cody at a conference in Victoria, BC. We met months later on Cortes Island, BC, where we received training in psychedelic psychotherapy. Our connection ran deep quickly. Here was a soul who asked big questions, shared unwaveringly and embraced Indigenous ways. Thereafter, we connected when I visited his home state, where I Introduced him to MAPS and a dear one practising Lakota ways. In the few occasions we had to connect, Cody's courage, humility and caring touched me indelibly. Sincere condolences to his family, friends and community, and gratitude to all who shared here glimpses into a radiant soul. Cody, see you one day in the happy hunting grounds. Until then, brother, rest peacefully and with grace.
