Olivia Alexandra Grenardo, 26, of Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on May 12, 2026, due to a pulmonary embolism. Though her loss leaves unimaginable heartbreak, Liv’s love, laughter, strength, and radiant spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Liv was born on February 7, 2000, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to Stacy Morsch and Ozzie Grenardo. From the very beginning, she lived life with joy, empathy, and a spirit that drew people to her everywhere she went. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether someone had known her for years or had just met her moments earlier, Liv had a way of making them feel like family.

Beauty personified inside and out, Liv radiated happiness, warmth, and humor, leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She lived fearlessly, loved deeply, and fiercely defended the people she cared about. Her quick wit and natural ability to connect with others made her magnetic in every room she entered.

In middle school, Liv competed in the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships before graduating from Regis Jesuit High School in 2018, where she loved running track. She trained and competed with an intensity and focus that defined her as a sprinter. Her years at Regis helped solidify the strong Catholic foundation that remained central throughout her life, and it was there that she formed many of the friendships she treasured most.

Her Catholic faith remained deeply important throughout her life. In high school, Liv made the personal decision to complete her Confirmation, choosing St. Gemma Galgani as her Confirmation saint and embracing the quote, “To love Jesus more, love more like Jesus.”

She later attended Texas Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising. Liv was a proud member of the Delta Gamma sorority and cherished the friendships, adventures, and experiences she shared during her college years. During that time, she also courageously battled stage 4 thyroid cancer, enduring multiple surgeries and procedures related to her vocal cord function with extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. A thyroid cancer survivor, Liv later continued her education and was just a few classes away from completing her MBA.

Despite everything she endured, Liv continued to pursue life fully and fearlessly. In 2026, she earned both the Colorado title and the Southwest Regional title for Miss Petite USA and was preparing to compete at the national competition that summer. Her pageant motto beautifully reflected the way she lived her life: “Refined by adversity, grounded in faith, and driven to turn resilience into strength and purpose into impact.”

While Liv had an incredible eye for fashion, she had an intuitive ability to recognize designer pieces instantly and often knew not only who created them, but even the season or year they first appeared. What people remembered most, however, was the way she made others feel. She brought energy, laughter, encouragement, and kindness wherever she went.

Liv loved travel, music, celebrations, and shared experiences with the people she loved most. Whether attending concerts, major sporting events, or exploring new places, she embraced life fully and created unforgettable memories with friends and family.

Her experiences fueled a growing passion for helping cancer patients navigate the emotional and financial burdens of treatment. She was actively planning to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with cancer afford the care they needed and deserved. Through her own cancer journey and support groups, she became a source of encouragement and compassion to many others facing similar struggles.

Liv deeply loved her family and shared especially close bonds with both of her parents and her paternal grandfather, John Grenardo. She brought him tremendous comfort and joy in his later years. Her love of family, humor, and zest for life were evident in every relationship she had.

Though her life was far too short, the impact Liv had on others was extraordinary and will continue to ripple outward for years to come. She was truly the light of her family’s lives and a beacon of love, joy, and hope for countless others.

Liv is survived by her loving parents, Stacy Morsch and Ozzie Grenardo; her maternal grandparents, Rebecca Deghuee and her husband, Brad Deghuee, and Edward Morsch and his wife, Jeannie Morsch; her step-grandfather, Gary Vest, and his wife, Becky Vest; her aunt, Audrey Morsch; her uncle and aunt, Brian and Stephanie Morsch, and their sons, Hayden and Chance; her paternal grandmother, Helena Thomas, and her husband, Steve Thomas; her paternal great-grandmother, Eloise Grenardo; her uncle and aunt, David and Jennifer Grenardo, and their sons, Solomon and Moses; as well as countless friends and extended family members whose lives she touched deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, John Grenardo, with whom she shared a uniquely special bond. We take comfort in our faith and trust that Liv is now in God’s loving embrace, reunited with her Grandpa John and her ancestors.
